Join the Mine Operator team, along with Tamarack Geological Services (www.tamarackgeo.com) and Jason from Mt. Baker Mining and Metals ( @mbmmllc ) as we explore for uranium, rare earth elements and critical minerals. Our team will present the 3D model and technical report (NI 43-101) that Tamarack Geological Services produces to investors in hopes of signing an option agreement. This may help you as a prospector to understand the process from prospecting, exploration, development, mining and reclamation. Thanks for watching!
Rare earth elements include:
Cerium, Praseodymium, Neodymium, Samarium, Europium, Gadolinium, Terbium, Dysprosium, Holmium, Erbium, Thulium, Ytterbium, Lutetium, and Yttrium.
Uranium minerals at this property include:
Uraninite and autunite.

    Charles Butler used to have his own literature on prospecting for silver deposits with a Geiger Counter. He mentioned that the majority of silver deposits radiate from unstable element associations. He also explained how oil deposits can be found the same way.

    Dayum, red suspenders dude is hot AF. He gets a pass on "latvium". Because the book you are looking at is old, it differentiates between pitchblende and uraninite, but pitchblende is a deprecated term now and it's all referred to as uraninite, whether the habit is prismatic or botryoidal. It's possible your highly fluorescent material is autunite, but I think it's probably more likely something like a kind of zippeite. I would like to buy some if you are selling it somewhere. Incidentally, the presence of rare earth elements in many other minerals will also make them fluoresce various colors, and these are also desirable among collectors.

    Thanks for that intel! We're learning as we go on this complex project and hiring professionals to help. Even the geos in the 60s and 70s had a hard time agreeing what minerals they were. This is according to the technical reports they wrote. We'll have our Etsy site up soon and will be able to finally sell these radioactive ☢️ samples.

    Right outside Vegas is a uranium mine but I'm too scared to even go near it. Is it safe to be exposed to the radiation the rock gives off. I know the dust is a killer. I was just wondering how safe it is to be around?

  • @John-ir2zf

    @John-ir2zf

    7 ай бұрын

    Beibg near the rocks is not a big concern, but yes avoid the dust as much as possible. Most all of that radiation is alpha particles and your clothes and skin stop all of those. Since our skin is naturally shed, any cells that get hit and damaged will shed off in a day or two. The issue with the dust is that our lungs don't shed the potentially damaged cells, and the particles of dust keep emitting alpha particles so it can damage more and more cells, that don't ever shed off. Very little of the radiation from native, unconcentrated ore are beta particles that can damage internal tissue from the outside. Once the ore is concentrated of course, the beta emissions get more and more intense as the radioactive element percentage goes up.

    Geil, I'm so glad you enjoyed that. We were trying so hard not to laugh while filming. We rented the Vanta from Olympus (Evident Scientific) to compare the new technology to the older Delta model we have. We can't afford the $38k price tag, so renting it was the best option. Tamarack is in the middle of writing an updated technical report (NI 43-101) and creating a 3D model of the geologic structures. We're hoping to raise interest with an exploration company to drill this property and confirm the 40,000,000 lbs of u308 at 0.20%! I'm not entirely sure if we'll get the option agreement we're hoping for.

    Hi @@mineoperator, when dealing with NI43-101 and people 'in the business' be super careful with your wording regarding resource statements. You speak about *confirming* 40M lbs which implies you've got some data to back that up already (which you don't, hence your need for a proper 3D model). Better be safe than sorry and call it "resource potential" or "historic estimate". Ever since bre-X wording matters...

  • @mineoperator

    We actually have a historical resource estimate from two geologist from 1968 in the form of a technical report after a drilling program. I'm not making anything up. I appreciate your comment. The goal here is to confirm that historical resource estimate with confirmation drilling.

    Q: In the mine when you XRF'd the surface of the rock, why not skip XRFing the surface and go straight to drill samples if the drill samples are more accurate? How deep do you have to drill before you pass through the oxide layers to get a clean drill sample on average?

    Some of the prospect pits that the geologist in the past drilled and blasted are nearly 10-15 feet deep. They wanted to reach deep enough without having to drill to reach samples that haven't leached out. What I'm gathering thus far is the autunite is the oxide version of uraninite, but I could be wrong. Dale and Ryan theorize that either the water table, if there is one, or a fault, maybe controlling the uraninite and autunite deposition. We're trying to raise funds, $1mm-$3mm, for a future drilling campaign to find out what's going on at depth. Using the xrf on the surface is helpful as it sheds some light on the minerals we have. Drilling small samples helps pulverize and mix the sample which is more useful. Using the xrf helps us to carefully choose where to drill small holes. Tamarack Geo will help us where to point the big drills.
