Whoa, I do wish you had pitch-corrected the bg vocals before this demo vid. My ear is just too sensitive to being in key. Otherwise, I think this is very good and practical video. The Vocal Strip 2 is one of the included plugins with the SSL 2+ audio interface, and I’m rabbit holing the extras I got with the hardware. Thanks

@@MellowXBrew It's good to see someone who knows their stuff doing reviews, a lot is kinda "Let's see what this plugin does...". Your room tone EQ tip was right on the money, just redid a vocal here: around 580 Hz, there it was, the boxy tone!

Plug-in sounds great. Singer has a great tone… if you can add some pitch correction with something like Melodyne, he would be on point

I use it in many different ways. Currently I use it to find resonances in material or to boost the presence without the treble being harsh (desser)

@@nmbr2110 if you haven’t invested in a suite they are killer for the sale. If you have a digital eq and comp it may be hard to justify unless you like the SSL character. Regardless Saturator and Bus Compressor are the standouts

Whilst I respect your review, and its a good review. I would say that, the cost of a recording studio, is pointless, its dependant on the skill of the engineer using the gear/software available.

I agree whole heartedly, that’s why I have a home studio setup. I’ll only do a recording studio for multi mic project or large number of performers

I take it this video is imaginary as you NEVER review plugins.
