My ReMarkable is absolutely indispensible. It is not something I thought I would be saying. I am organizationally challenged. This tool fixed that.

I got my Remarkable 2, 3 years ago, it is a game changer, because it is a distraction free reading, taking notes device. It is light, very thin, and has great responsiveness, never regretted buying it.

Would love to see a video where you show what it's like for: 1. Writing an essay/long doc 2. A journal entry 3. Annotating a PDF

So I’ve had my RM2 for 14 months I love it. I’ve replaced at least 6 moleskine books in that time. But…. You have to be open to what the RM can do and not be swayed by purchasing temates. I was. And I’ve found they hindered me considerably. I felt constrained to have to use the meeting records, the 12 tabbed ‘to do list’ etc etc So I use my RM as I did my moleskin in the same way you have. I use block paper mostly and a notebook per major subject. I preface actions in the narrative with a capital A, notes with a capital N, risks with a R etc etc; plus you can also ‘Tag’ your keywords in the text. Don’t overthink it. But don’t think what you have on day 5 will be ideal. I’ve been through 4 total shifts now in folders structures doc styles and I’m now reaping the reward Good vid!

Thanks for the watch! And I agree. A lot of the marketing can be more gimmicky on not so realistic. Granted the tablet does what it says it can do but to get its full effectiveness you gotta use it with a focused purpose and realize its design for what it is.

Glad you did the video, I had watched your previous one awhile back. I’ve had the rM2 since pre-order in 2020 and I too can tell you it’s been excellent to me. I have the SN but I always and continue to use my rM2. I always say it can be little nuisances that important to individual’s particularly the continued rM2 vs SN battle. Although I like some of the features of the SN, its the simplicity and writing experience for me of the rM that just makes me want to keep using my device… so I do. Love it and refuse to abandon it no matter how “limited” some see it as, as you mentioned that’s exactly why we love it, it’s far away from our tablet. Not all but many of us already have an iPad (when that argument of why don’t you just get an iPad), and we want a great writing experience with no distractions. We want and enjoy just us and something to write on because our thoughts don’t scare us. I love the authentic nature of this video. Good luck with the semester

Great video :) Just got mine yesterday with the type folio. First impressions - fantastic! Will be using everyday for illustrations, journalling, story writing and to-dos. Not opened the type-folio yet!!

I’ve thought about it, but I don’t write enough to justify it. For my goals, an iPad with an Apple Pencil would better suit. Sketching, whiteboard apps, sheet music, UI design etc. Still a very cool product!

I have only had mine for about a month and I am really impressed. I bought this to replace my legal pads/notebooks for daily tasks and reminders as well as for sketching web pages I am going to make for a company. Its minimal and thats why I like it. The paper feel is something I didn't know was possible for a tablet. Only thing I would like to see change for future models is option for color e ink and shape "stickers" or images you can insert on the page. For building visuals.

I own a Boox Ultra C, which is technially a different device but I realy like it. It does look a bit less classy bu the addition to have the posibility to use Android makes so much sense for me. I can do all things the Remarkable does with the built in notes apps. If you use them you will not get notifications and can focus, however I can also choose to write emails if I want to (I did bought the keyboard). Most exciting is the use of OneNote as I use this on all my devices and instead of ending up with a bunch of synchronized PDFs I actually end up with a notebook across my devices where I sometimes use the pen to write or the keyboard to type. I also love the backlight on the Boox and the color e-ink display.

I’ll have to give that one look! Sounds interesting and if it works best for you, then that’s the one to use. That is a convenient feature of having one note on there, to synch to all your devices. Thanks for being here!

It may not have changed my life, but it vastly improved my workflow as an author, especially with brainstorming book ideas and editing manuscripts. I've had mine for over three years and would not give it up. I've convinced several friends to buy one, and all but one of them love it. That said, my biggest gripe is that sometimes the touchscreen takes a couple taps to do what you want it to do -- esp. when opening a file. I don't know if this is a processor speed issue or what. Otherwise, I don't really have any complaints.

Yeah it’s 100% enhances my workflow too. I do love that whenever there is an update that they are big changes and good improvements to the UI and functionality but the hardware can be improved. If they make a 3 generation I hope they maintain the thinness and simplicity of the tablet but just adding better responsiveness from touch input and maybe pressure sensors from the pen.

I just bought like $400 dollars worth of paper and leather bound journals from William Hannah and Paper Republic. I guess the RM2 is cheaper.... To go with my two Montblanc Diplomat 149 FP's...at a $1,000 each...so yeah. RM2 is much much cheaper...

Or you could try Moleskine block squared books; I used them all the time until I bought my RM. 6 books now down to one thin tablet.
