That’s because RAND(), RANDBETWEEN() and RANDARRAY() are called « volatile » functions. It means they will recompute every time something is changed in the workbook, not only if you try to remove one value from the array. BTW, RANDARRAY() is a dynamic array function that is only available in Microsoft 365 or Excel 2021. A dynamic array function or formula is one that will spill results outside (right and down) of cell it is written in.

I have now replaced 8 columns of data with random values that are either 0 or 1.
is it possible to generate a random number between the values in 2 specific cells please?

I think it probably is as easy as inputting the location, A1, of the cell instead of a number.

How would I do something like this? I used RANDARRAY (twice) for the numbers, but I get lost after that.
