You can depending on how durable and long you want it to last

I am planning on using this for my trim and rocker panels (that are tan right now.) I know it would work for the trim but would it be fine for my aluminum rocker panels too? I used it to paint my steel wheels so im hoping it would work...

I would think that it would work since it says it's for metal. I would probably prime the rockers before so that the it adheres better. 👍

i dont see anyone using the rustoleum top coat, is it not better to use the top coat over the black or not necessary?

I wouldn't really say that it's really necessary. But if you want the added protection to prevent it from chipping I'd definitely recommend it.

Did it stay glossy? I would prefer a more matte or flat finish😕
