I was looking for magenta shades because Pantones color of the year is Viva Magenta. There's some similar colors in this palette, not exactly but it's always nice to go through your stash before running out and spending more money on trends

Your physical health, mental health, marriage, and immediate family come first before Shae-mas. That's how it has to be. We'll survive if a video or two or three or four or five or six get missed. We completely understand what's going on. I don't support ABH either, but look at it this way, you are showing us ways to use the pallets that we already have in different ways that we haven't already thought of. I'm not throwing mine out either, and instead of them sitting there collecting dust, you're showing me a new look to do. I'm extremely appreciative for that. I'm really looking forward to your upcoming videos. It's going to be a great month. But please take it easy, and know when it's time to take a break. We'll see you tomorrow.😘

I used the hell out of that palette until it died. I wasn’t aware of the controversy around ABH (or I forgot because I don’t watch makeup videos like I used to) and I have the soft glam palette. I think it’s important to use what you have and I commend you doing your part. I also appreciate how you will discuss topics others won’t regarding racism, sexism, capitalism, etc. I like I said- I don’t watch many makeup videos anymore but I’ve stayed subscribed to you because you are great. And screw the trends- this look is great! It’s why I subbed in the first place! I hope you take care of yourself this season.

I feel the same way about ABH. I have 3 or 4 of the palettes and the Amrezy highlighter that I still use pretty often. I won't give any more of my money to the company but I might as well use this makeup that I already own and genuinely enjoy

I think there’s a huge difference between buying new palettes from a problematic brand and using up what you’ve already paid for. This is a stunning palette, and I actually used mine up. I won’t buy another one, though. Also, I think the first rule of Shaemas should be health comes first. Take care of yourself!

I just bought a replacement Modern Renaissance palette. It started my love for higher end eyeshadows.

It can be so hard for us to listen when our bodies or our intuition are telling us we're pushing too much. Think of your epilepsy as your inner voice, letting you know when you're a little out of balance. i love, when people use old palettes. even if i don't have the same one. most of the time we all have similar colours somewhere and if you love an old palette it is sad, to not use it, only because it's not new anymore. i get, if youtubers don't use them anymore, because of the view. for abh: i start to love the palettes only with the big norvina ones. the other ones are to tamed for my taste. but i should use them more.

I call my old makes up “land of misfit pallets” 🤣

I’m sorry you’re going through such a serious and stressful health condition. I 💯 agree with your perspective on waste. Please use it, if you have it & enjoy it. I switched out paper towels/napkins for regular towels (like bar towels) and cloth napkins. It feels fancy to have cloth napkins and i got most of them at the thrift store!

Shae I really miss your swatch videos where you did the eye swatches and then did at look with the palette at the end of the swatches! It just seems more complete for me and provides more information on how the palette works on the eyes, layers, blends, ETCETERA!

Girl I feel you. People who use makeup wipes or cotton pads create so much trash. Cleansing balms are literally the best, easier and faster than removing your makeup with wipes

I have a mental health thing and even though it happened about 5 years ago my brain still struggles to come up with words or common phrases. Especially when I’m tired or feeling “off”. It’s the most frustrating feeling ever! I get so mad at my brain! Gah!

Shae, please please try to not push yourself past your limits. I know it’s hard bc I’m the same way (I don’t have epilepsy specifically, but I have other health issues and have a hard time not sacrificing my health for my career/school). But seriously, nothing is worth your health

One thing that has been on my mind but I haven’t mentioned, I hope you might reconsider working with brands like Nova Beauty and Sheglam. Their parent companies, Shein and Fashion Nova are fast fashion companies that contribute to so much waste on our planet. Personally I don’t choose to support these brands, and wonder if you might consider the same. Since you’re looking to make more eco-friendly choices, it might be something to think about. We've been making zero waste swaps this past year as well. I actually think the bamboo TP is better than the regular stuff. You're so right! Being less wasteful and buying less things in plastic packaging is very hard with makeup. And don't feel bad about maybe not uploading a video everyday. Your health comes first!

My epilepsy is triggered by lack of sleep and stress and when something hurts really bad. I have had over 56 surgeries. So if my pain level is at a 7 or higher... I will have a seizure. Your seizures don't seem under control. I went 3 years with out a seizure and then BAMB!!! It Sucks!!!

I know that this palette will be on sale during Christmas and I have been eyeing this palette for a long time. Maybe it is time I finally get it!

I lone Shaemas!!! I've been here since the first one... I always watched 7th Heaven when I was a kid, it's weird how we don't pick up on most of the weird shit until we're old lol. Now I'm going to have to rewatch it myself!!

I still have this palette it's really expired (3 years old already) but i cant bring myself to discard it since it's the first high end palette I've owned. I just stare at it lovingly. Havent even dented it

An oldie but goodie!

I still use it. I'm actively trying to pan this palette. Most used in my collection. I always reach for it when I need good transition shades.

Do what you need to stay healthy and happy. Have you thought about just posting every other day. It still gives you lots of new posts but won't overwhelm you. And TBH I follow several channel that post everyday for vlogmas and I just can't keep up, so I would love every other day. As for ABH Modern palette one of my favorites. I use it more than all my other palettes. Do I love all the ABH issues, hell no. But I'll be damned if I don't use them to pan and get every penny I paid out of it!

I got rid of my MR palette a couple months ago 😞 I loved it but it was smelling a little funky and the mattes had dried out and were patchy and the shimmers didn’t have lasting powder. It’s making me use my Jackie Aina palette more before that one goes “bad”.

I just recently replaced all my ABH palettes and got rid of the ones I have had for years. The only one I never bought was Subculture. I’m not wrapped up in all the drama about these palettes. I just use them because I love 💕 their formula. I’m not a makeup artist .I’m just a plain grown women who loves their palettes and enjoys using them…….Judy D
