Imagine being able to add more cameras to your production without having to run any cables. By using a smartphone with one of the NDI® apps, you can capture video and audio from any compatible iOS or Android device in resolutions up to 4K. As long as the device can connect via WiFi to your LAN network, it can instantly be added as a source for your switcher or viewed with Studio Monitor.
his is a great way to cover concerts, sporting events, or other productions where additional angles and close-up shots are critical. Thanks to the ability to use both forward and rear-facing cameras, mobile phones and tablets can be used for more interactive exchanges with hosts and camera operators. This option also enables you to get video shots from places where cables would be unmanageable.
What about extending your network entirely across a football field or in-between buildings? The WirelessCable from PTZOptics is a networking solution that can extend your NDI® network up to 1,300 feet or 400 meters. The WirelessCable allows you to connect one network to another just like an ethernet cable would through a professional Wireless Access Point (WAP) system. In this way, one large NDI® network connects wirelessly for use with cameras and other devices.

As always great content! My issue is that even though my wired PC running OBS and my Android WiFi are both on the same network (they are just connected differently) OBS cannot detect the video stream. When I switch my wired PC to use WiFi it can see the Android NDI video stream. Alternatively if I take a USB C Ethernet adapter and plug it into my Android my wired PC running OBS can see the NDI video stream OK. I don't understand why both PC OBS and Android have to be on the same connection method? Both are on the same exact subnet and LAN they are just using different ways to connect WiFi vs LAN. Thank you for any insights!

Any way to do this via a Wi-Fi repeater that’s connected to the main router?

My iPhone is on the wireless network - the ndi monitor on my computer can see when I get on the camera app and it shows the name of my iPhone even. But it’s black - I can’t see any video… any guesses?

Do you have an NDI multicast video? Can I use multicast routing for NDI Birddog cameras in multiple networks? Can I use a combination of unicast and multicast with NewTek Tricaster? Support is so hard to get from these companies.

I have this same issue, using studio monitor on a PC connected via wifi6 to a commercial grade Netgear access point (also wifi6). No other device uses that dedicated wifi access point but the one pc running monitor, access point is uplinked via gigabit. My stream from obs studio is looks great to all hardwired network devices but the wifi pc has constant stuttering Was hoping this video had some help for me.

I run 3 NDI hx android phones (capable of ac wifi) to OBS. So far pretty smooth performance at 720p, but I seem to be hitting the limit of my wifi router. Would a tri-band ac router add capacity in this use case?
