Using my COBBLESTONE GENERATOR to produce POWER on Create Superflat Survival!

Ойындар

I was browsing the other day over on the Curseforge app for a modpack that pretty much just utilized the Create mod in the 1.20 update, all in a Superflat world environment on Minecraft.
Little to my knowledge no such thing actually existed…
So I took it upon myself to go ahead and Create(get it) my very own modpack for me to play around on.
Once again, I'm gonna tackle the Superflat world challenge!
Wish me luck
You can check out the pack here if you’re interested;

    Oh, a little known thing you can do with the cogs when you were messin around with making it work with the water wheels is you can put a large cog on it and attach a second large cog horizontally to rotate the rotation Then you can attach the mill to that like a small cog and get a bonus of it being double the speed too EDIT: with your gear shifting to make it very fast, only thing to say is you dont need the one small cog on the wheel, just directly attach the large and save yourself one cog haha

    Lesser known? I thought it was common knowledge? I guess not watching this but yeah that one kinda hurt to watch and hear. Also. He has access to a casing. Meaning he could make an in line gearbox. Just case the big gears and box the backwards input so the spin independently and transfer to the little gear in front of them.

  • @WinstonWhitetail

    @WinstonWhitetail

    5 ай бұрын

    @@N0FoxGiven well from seeing lots of playthrough of people playing create from dozens of series, i rarely see the large cog rotation feature being used And yeah definitely if you have a gearbox it's a lot smaller, though one can say uses more andesite considering one gearbox costs 4 andesite alloys to make 2 whereas large cogs cost 8 per 2 andesite alloys

  • @N0FoxGiven

    @N0FoxGiven

    5 ай бұрын

    @@WinstonWhitetail Edit up here: I completely misread your comment because you misread my comment... I should have read that closer. I mean stepping gears up in line by blocking the gears with a single andesite casing which costs you nothing besides the cogs and the andesite and log to make the tool. This was in regards to the jank step up gearbox he made that hurt my soul instead of making it look nice which is completely irrelevant but I'll whine about it anyway because I'm fully capable of doing so and like to make things look nice where i can since I'm horrible at design. Sorry. My b. Leaving the rest to keep from confusion. Talking about ACTUAL gear boxes instead of the gear box concept. Irrelevant but I find deleting or editing just makes it odd. one gear box takes 3 ish andesite as 8 shafts is 2 andesite and the casing is one. 2 gear boxes takes 4. Large cogs you can do 2 for 8 but it takes 2 to change one direction 90 degrees. 3 180, and you can't necessarily put them together in 4 ways as I've had issues placing cogs like that before. On the bright side it costs exactly the same amount of wood for 1 gear box as 8 large cogs. The difference in andesite is minimal. On your note about people not using it... yeah I get it. People don't look this stuff up. Good point.

  • @TallinuTV

    @TallinuTV

    4 ай бұрын

    Better yet, slap an andesite casing on each large cog wheel after placing it, this covers up the exposed shaft end and lets you put the next small cog in line with it (instead of having to go underground like that to avoid attaching shafts of different RPMs). The andesite casing doesn't even get used up, it's basically free. You can also add one to the small cogs when you're done (after placing whatever attaches to their shaft) to make the whole thing prettier.

    23:38 if you slap the previous large cog with an andesite casing, it'll encase it and block off the shaft. then you can place the next small cog directly in front without connecting. so you can just go back and forth along the two lines, instead of having to stagger all over the place, when you're gearing up or down the speed.

    for the slab outside your door, you can use a trap door instead. it will still stop mobs, but you'll be able to run under it at full speed. and if you need to block an archer from shooting you, you can flip the trap door open, and then crouch to still hit them.

    Very good early game food source is mixed salad. Made with a cabbage/cabbage leaf (use the cabbage leaf, chop the cabbage on the chopping block with a flint knife to double the amount of salad you can make), a beetroot, a tomato, and a bowl. It gives three bars of hunger (6 points) and 3 1/2 saturation, but also gives you 5 seconds of regeneration. It only stacks to 16, but is super useful for healing Another good food is Sweet Berry Cookies, which are busted- on par with leaves with much less work. With one sweet berry and two wheat, you get 8 cookies which each sell for $5.50. Sweet berries are also a quick source of food and protection (medium slimes that can get under your barrier can be killed easily with berry bushes). Using a knife when clearing the wheat you can also get straw which can be made into fertilized dirt, rope, or canvas. Rope can be placed above tomato plants to yield more tomatoes (the tomato vines grow up around it and thus double your output of tomatoes) and canvas can be used in place of leather for books or in place of string for scaffolding.

    I believe the gravel > cutting board + shovel > flint loop is balanced; as you noted, it does take durability, and since time itself is also a commodity, the tediousness you mention is its own cost. It's comparable in that way to the vanilla cobblestone generator: tool durability and time in exchange for an unlimited resource.

    27:17 lol, Tconstruct would completely break this cause you can make a flint shovel and just have a feedback loop since you only need one Flint to repair a Flint Shovel and get, like, at least over 100 durability meaning you are guaranteed to get at LEAST one flint from it. Technically speaking, at 10% chance, 100 attempts should return about 10 flint, roughly, but the nature of probability means nothing can ever really be guaranteed over a degree of certainty.

    @@frogzet502 soul sand haunts sand to make more soul sand, wash to get nether quartz, mix with cobble to get diorite, mix with cobble again to get andesite. No blaze cakes needed. I haven't done it yet myself, but it should be much easier than any method of automating netherrack for lava generators.

    The one thing I can't understand is when trying to build a Cobblestone Generator in the air, and you have the choice to place anything anywhere, why would you chose to place the lava, a.k.a. the most dangerous element, closest to where you access this farm from, and placed the water, a.k.a. the safest element, as far away as you could.

    Because at the time I needed the flow of water to make my water wheels spin, if I did it on the ground level it wouldn’t be ideal as there’s not enough room to play with

    @@DanRobzProbz Sorry, maybe the words I chose were a bit confusing, but that's not what I meant. Please try to imagine it this way: The path to access the generator is on the left side. The lava is on the left side. The water is on the right side. If you accidentally break a block, odds are it would be on the left side too, as that's where you would most likely be when it happens. In other words, you chose to raise the odds of an accidental lava spill, instead of an accidental water spill. Doing it the other way around would have been way less potentially dangerous. Keeping the most dangerous stuff farther away, where it's harder to reach, makes sense. At least to me. This goes triple in a Hardcore playthrough.
