Watching this was so soothing that I paused to research and buy my first sewing machine as an adult. I'm now inspired to re-learn something I disliked as a girl, but can appreciate only now that I'm older! I just want to save cute scraps of old clothing to turn into adorable quilts!

I really wish the thumbnail for the video was a picture of the finished item you are making so that I would go back and easily find it to make. The things you make are so good and your technique and skill level high you would be my go to crafter to use up my scraps if I could find the video easily to make the item I want when I have time.

To close the opening...I would press the edge flat and top stitch 1/8" from edge... eliminate the had sewing

That would be a way to close a seam on the inside where it would not be seen but where it is on the top of the basket hand stitching makes an invisible closure.

Interfacing does not have a backing it's iron on.
