What if you don't see your midi controller in the drop down selection?

I've done all the steps shown at the beginning to set up the integration, but none of the transport buttons are working on my keyboard...

I was so mad I bought the s88 & a MK3 & KU13CE about 2 months ago , to try and learn to make beats and I was doing it in Logic because the sounds would only preview in logic and NOT in protools , THANK GODD for this 🔥🔥🔥🔥

Hey there. I finally moved off 2019.12 to use this sucker. THANK you. All working, except the "browser" button does not come back on after I've selected my instrument, and I think after I switch to "mixer" mode. Any suggestions?

How can you get protools track labels to match your instruments instances so you know which is which? If you have 20 instruments of Kk in protools and your tracks are labeled horns strings etc. How can you get the instances labels within Kk screen to match or what is the work around I have been racking my brain on this.

Hi, there! I loaded Ozono Eq after Massive X inside Komplete Kontrol. I can control the 7th band Frequency but I want to automate it. How can I know to which midi cc# it is assigned to? or how can I assing it to a cc# of my preference? Thanks

Hey hey - Can you guys help me out? I'm trying to work through support but not making progress and it's extremely slow. I have A25 and use ProTools. If I load the standalone Komplete Kontrol program, I can play and hear what I'm playing. When I put the KK PLUG IN on my instrument track, I can hear the samples as I scroll through them, but once I pick it, I cannot hear it when I play any keys....pressing record in ProTools doesn't let me hear it either. But it DOES record the midi info, so when I stop, I can play it back and hear it with the instrument I picked...just not WHILE I'm playing the instrument, which kinda defeats the purpose. And I CAN hear when I use the standalone program...but that doesn't help me, since it's the PLUG IN I want to hear while in ProTools while recording....can anybody help? THANKS.

Can it be that Mute/Solo buttons do not work when MKII is in Mixer-Mode ? They work when the MKII is in Plug-In mode though 🤨

My midi keyboard controller works great in studio one, reaper and logic Pro. Plays native instruments no problem. Doesn't work in pro tools.

My transportcontrol dont work in Pro Tools so sad. Should there be a DAW driver for s49 mk3? Cant see it though..

Hi there, I have a question regarding the logical setup in a DAW to avoid waste of resources. Is there a way to use one instance of KK and use a particular MIDI out channel from KK to a MIDI in designated to another MIDI track so when you record, it is writing MIDI notes for play back of that channel instrument (designated in KK plugin) and then you create many other MIDI tracks, each one with MIDI channel 2 to 16 as input and channel 2 to 16 as output of KK plugin so you designate total of 16 different instruments to 16 MIDI tracks using the same KK plugin like the way Kontakt works? I’m just trying to figure out a way to avoid so many KK plugins because you are not only using the resources from the instrument plugins but with all these KK browsing plugins add up to choke the computer. What if you are doing an orchestration? You need sometimes 90+ tracks. Are you supposed to load all your instruments plus 90+ KK plugins?!! Also if I’m using Kontakt without KK, I can run different MIDI channels to different tracks using the same instance of Kontakt. How can I do that with KK plugin? I hope you have a video that spells out all these multitrack project strategies and routings. I imagine all DAWs have more or less the same routing options so you can pick a DAW like Cubase and explain how it works. Thank you. 🙏🏽

How do you fix plugins not loading error?

What sort of computer rig would you recommend to run this type of set up? I need to upgrade my computer first… do you think just having a multi TB hard drive is enough for everything to run smoothly? Thanks

it's less about the storage capacity and more about the graphics card, processor and RAM space that determine how smoothly a computer runs. Anything running on an i7 or equivalent processor with 16 GB RAM should run this fine. As for the graphics card, I've seen Pro Tools run perfectly on a 3060 Nvidia card (I just upgraded to a 3080ti to future proof myself). Gaming computers and midgrade Macs are the go to systems that I've seen. Lots of processing capacity. Hope this helps

My Kontrol 49 isn't showing up in the MIDI Controllers tab of Peripherals? What can I do to fix this? The keyboard works fine in the controls app.

bought your Komplete 88 and I'm going crazy! There is no Komplete option on the MIDI Controllers tab Exists M-Audio and more but not the komplete kontrol. Because? Pls, help me ! :( Thanks!

I have PC and Pro Tools 2022.10 Maschine Mk3 & Komplete but Komplete not working by me in Pro Tools - I can use Komplete S mk2 only as standalone in Maschine or in Kontakt. My keyboard playing sound but I have't possibility to use buttons and see something more on this two small screens - only MIDI setup :( Please help What is wrong?

Yes but you need the latest version of ProTools 2021.10

Hey guys, love the video! I truly can't seem to find this answer anywhere: Can you not use the QUANTIZE button on the KK in Pro Tools? It's forever grayed-out. Seems like it works just fine in Logic. That just a super-cool sweet Avid issue?

Even the small increments adjusting with SHIFT + Knobs doesn't work. Even the "AUTO" button. Works great in Logic for me, but I hope they could implement those on Pro Tools.

make sure you're updated to pro tools 2021.10. It was an update from Pro Tools that allowed for the advanced integration

I'm having trouble getting my Komplete Kontrol to connect to protools. I can use it on another computer with Ableton, but Protools isn't recognizing it. Any ideas why. Great video by the way.

Please do a video about how to record the arp and chords. You started to cover it but you didn't explain that arp and chord mode don't actually record individual notes. It records only one long note instead of every single arp and also only records one note when you play a chord. In order to hear the arpeggiated pattern you MUST have ARP enabled in the plugin. This is such a bummer and a workflow killer.

You need at least Pro Tools Version 2021.10 where under "Type" you can find a controller preset as shown in this video. The preset is included in Pro Tools itself since that version. BTW until June 30 2023 there is a special offer to upgrade PT Studio to the current Version+1year Update Special Offer!

Sent my s49 in for repair but they said it’s fine. I connected it back up and still can’t get the transport to work. Not sure if I bought a dud or I’m doing something wrong. Plz help native instruments

I bought MACBOOKPROmax and upgraded to the latest PROTOOLS. I can't operate KOMPLETE KONTROL anymore. Even if I press the BROWSE button, the selection screen does not open. I can't operate PROTOOLS only. Is there any way to set this up? Use the translation tool　 Japanese to English

Like saying use cubase with garage band, i wouldent put garage band a low as Pro Tools

The keyboard is working and is showing up in Midi Input Devices and running the Komplete Kontrol plugin but it is now not in peripherals. Does anyone know a fix or how to get it happening?

Komplete Kontrol doesn't show up in Peripherals. I run PT 2020.12 running on a Mac Pro OSX 10.13 High Sierra. Keyboard is KK S Series61. Has anybody else experienced this?

UPDATE: now when I open komplete Kontrol or Machine it IMMEDIATELY crashes in protools in 0.1 seconds , I’m on a 2020 iMac newest OS & version of protools , any fixes ??? Can’t find anything In forms or KZread
