Don't know if u've realized, there are leagues within the races based on power core ranges. I'd love to see how far u can take this base car with upgraded aero in this league.

oh hey i actually used this concept too! I used the slick race tires and maxed out the stiffness and damping on the suspension. Also small elevators on the back to control my descent on the jumps. Got me into the top 3% of times!

Welcome back to Trailmakers, Kosmo! Don't get so down on yourself about being out of practice, man. You made a vehicle without thrusters and destroyed my time on this track in one build session. I spent over an hour trying to get a sub-60 time after building a car with a thruster. Lol.

I would be really curious how well it would work if you used hinges or servos to rotate the fan to a 45 degree angle pointing forward and down to apply both thrust and downforce

or better, build the car in 45 degree tilt

So, there's a car from can-am, the Chaparral 2E, where the downforce is applied directly to the wheels and not the body, effectively removing the suspension from the equation of downforce. Now I'm not saying it'd be up your alley to recreate this design, but since you're already doing things that were done in can-am, intentionally or otherwise, I figured you should try this out for a build as well.

That comment about too many fans but not enough subscribers earned my like.

I really hope these races still exist after the event!!

I mean, the glitches should be 100% banned from the races and competitions like these... but then when I say that, everyone calls me an idiot, or looks at me funny... so... I guess I'll just shut up. 😗😅

Nah bruh, NEGATIVE POWER CORES...

Just a little tip for making race builds focused on cornering is making your max turning angle 16.5 degrees of maximum angle (it's dependent on the track but this is what most race teams run for angle)

Real world example of this concept: The Chaparral 2J "Fan Car" competed in the 1970 Can-Am Championship series

There was a fan car mad once for Formula 1, no kidding. It was called the Brabham BT46. It only raced a few times, and was voluntarily withdrawn. It was banned the next year

honestly I would have a distance sensor on the front to turn on the fan when it detects the ground

There was a Formula 1 (?) car back in the day that did exactly this- vacuumed air from under itself with a powered fan. It did performed really well. It's a shame that TM does not really model air well though, having uniform pressure over the entire car would have been much better than one fan. Not only that, but like with that F1 car in particular, the fan was pointed backwards so when the car tilted it would not get any sideways force from the fan. Here it is closer to a SM thruster, so as it tilts you get some potentially unwanted side thrust as well. As a side note, your audio sounds to be a fraction of a second ahead of the webcam, but that could just be me.

I GOT A HDROFOIL off the work shop and it flys off the waves in high seas for a a LOT of air time

I did this in GearBlocks, since it doesn't have downforce yet. I had propellers run off of the the drive line so that they increased/decreased in speed the faster/slower I went. It worked very well... until the game said something hurtful to my GPU fan that caused it to commit self-die...

you could put those mini thrusters on the top of the suspension so you can have 2 levels of downforce

9:20 hey buddy so I notice you put heli blades on the sides like downside wings but um.... I believe they have a specific tilt now so... One side will provide downforce and one side will do the opposite like that.

11:19 The rotating effect isn't caused by the small rotors you're using. They don't cause any kind of force. The rotating effect you're experiencing is caused by all of the steering hinges around the suspensions.
