Hi everyone! Happy 2023!! I hope you're all having a great start to the New Year so far!! I started off the year with some sort of cold last week & am still congested. 🤧😂 So, please excuse my stuffy voice during the voiceover. Enjoy the painting!! Thank you! I probably won't go back to school for teaching, but I do enjoy teaching online! Maybe I'll teach some local art workshops one day. :)

This is amazing! Also love how you shared about what the peacock symbolizes! Definitely keep doing painting videos. Love this *___* Also I’ve seen peacocks a lot in different places here in Cali! They’re so pretty.

My partner’s grandparents used to raise peafowl on the land we have built our house on. A couple of years ago two showed up, and every now and then we’ll see them or hear them, and it feels like a connection to the past.😊

Lovely peacock! You did a wonderful job including all of the colors from the box! Working with heavy body pains is quite different than the fluid or craft paints so different than you’re used to, a wonderful job! Thanks for sharing with us, so glad you started off 2023 on a big note. I have not watched manifest, not sure I will. Until They come out with two or three seasons because I have been burned more than once, but they are stopping after one season seems like whatever I like nobody else likes!

Loved seeing this challenge in your own style. It's very unique and I love it.

Gorgeous painting of one of my favourite birds. Hope you're doing OK. Been blessed to have seen peacocks in person loads of times.

Love that you challenged yourself with layering the colours without sketching. The outcome is gorgeous!

Looks like a really meditative painting project to do. I've never seen a bent paint brush like that, interesting.

A rainbow peacock!! 🌈🦚 I never thought anyone could improve on their natural beauty, but you did it!!! 🥰 I have encountered them at a zoo in Maine, and I believe Disney World! Most gorgeous bird in North America!! ❤️ Not seen Manifest. I watch KZread instead of TV, lol!! 😂🤣

manifest is one of my favorite shows!!😍😍 I've actually just started rewatching the series on Netflix😅 I haven't seen season 4 yet, but that's kinda why I started over - just to have everything fresh in my mind. my favorite character is olive. I didn't care too much for her at the beginning, but I grew to really love her!🥰

i love manifest! i haven't finished the new season yet but my favorite characters are michaela and drea!!

I love it! I work with students grades 6-12 that are on the autism spectrum. This semester I have been teaching n a painting class with 3 students. I have learned a whole lot about color mixing and shading. Next semester they are into a clay class.

I love manifest and I definitely can't wait for the new season.

My college had a zoo, and they used to allow the peacocks to roam the campus freely. Some days you come across a fully displayed peacock on your way to your next class... other times you would see that they would all get hurded (on their own) in the gate of the tennis courts as you were walking to your car to leave. Interesting animals. They do not allow them to roam free anymore.

Peacocks live at the park in my town and there used to be a nearby drive in theater where they’d roam into. Their calls are forever imprinted on my brain. I also remember that my nana and papo had peacock feathers in their umbrella stand and I’d wave them around like wands.

In high school i had an assignment to write a book in french and i wrote like the peacock version of the ugly duckling and a little kid picked it as their favorite ❤ thanks for the memory zap

Thank you! I don't believe I have ever done it in the intended way - although I've created doodle designs that look similar to the examples I found on Google. It looks so interesting! I'll look into it more.

I have met at least 3 peacock at the local zoo like many times already and i even play with it

I wish i could draw as good. I did at one time. But i cant anymore. Natural tremor makes it difficult to draw a straight line. And dont have a sketch book. Just lined notebook paper.

You should go for it anyway! Take your lined paper and make some pieces of art that accommodate to your tremor.

Blending doesn’t really count. I could mix all 48 and paint an earthy landscape with it and claim I used all 48. The spirit of the title implies distinct visible colours. If that’s the case, great!
