The Aux 2 Main isn't actually part of the FX signal chain. As long as nothing is plugged into the Aux 2 output jack, the signal goes straight from the Aux 2/FX Send to the FX bus. If you plug anything into the Aux 2 output it will disable the FX bus and then you would have to raise the Aux 2 Main in order to get the sent signals to the Aux 2 output. Nothing wrong with leaving it at unity though, you just don't have to if you don't want to.

My model 12 is a few days away, watched your other video, seeing how the fx is selected makes me wish the model 12 had a way connect to a mobile app on a tablet and then control things from there, wishful thinking? Nice video, expressive song!

That would be cool :) But if it's a current feature, then I don't know about it. I know there's Bluetooth connectivity, but I'm not aware of an app to control the effects (or anything else you do with the Model 12 itself). I think the Bluetooth is just an input/mixer feature.

Another brilliant video on the model 12. I think I will get one this year after years of using the porta 02 mk 2, dp 004, dp 008ex and the dp 03 sd. Keep up the good work!

Thanks! It's a cool device, and I've been really happy with it... but I've been very, very frustrated by system errors. I never had errors with prior Tascam products, but I've fought "File Error" and "Write Error" messages on my last two songs. I suspect that is saves/stores audio files differently than the DP products, and that may contribute to the frequency of these errors. So if you buy one: be warned, and save/backup often!

@@JordanSeal I am well aware with all those errors and “sd card error” etc 😂 It’s the type of device that suits my recording compared to when I use a computer. Love to hear this song on full too.

I know almost nothing about the market for studio monitors. But I heard these were good + cheap, and I've loved them. Hope you feel the same!
