Using dowels to strengthen wood joints

I bought a second hand doweling jig because I can't afford a biscuit jointer. Here I try the doweling jig on a right angle wood joint. In my next video I will use it on a flat panel glue up, as an alternative to a biscuit jointer and see if it is a realistic alternative.
