We use two guys even on what's called a "One man auger"... Way safer and too high of risk for injury with just one man.

They should just make a larger model of a "drill press" and call it a "fence hole presser" or something like that 😂

Gotta pull it out every foot or so and clear the dirt. Makes it easier to hang on to which is a feat already.

things probably hitting roots. I would take it up and possibly take a chain saw to the roots.

As soon as I seen the thumbnail of the video I looked at that big tree in the background and said NOPE. How could you not think that ground wouldn’t be loaded with very large tree roots.

this is it. You'd have to stick a chain saw down there when it gets stuck to break it up.

@@hailzyproductions if you hit lots of rocks an tree roots you have to constantly sharpen the blade/teeth on the auger, they will crush and pull rocks up you just have to constantly sharpen it, if its clay and rock just buy a jack hammer with spade attachments

@@christianhviid2167 It's doable with one person, you just can't be standing loosely like he is. That is when you get hurt. Yes they can hurt you. When I've hit something I just let it go. But, I also don't just go willy nilly blasting the throttle wide open. I finesse the machine. I am not trying to be the fasted hole digger.

Then how are you going to get giant shoulders if you don’t use a post hole digger? I’ve dug many a holes with those things. I thank God I have the skill for it and it also builds character.

@@mdgrech not to bad, as long as you pull it out every so often and clean the hole out. Iv not had a problem with smaller roots maybe 2” or so. When you hear it trying to bog down a little, lift it up and go back easy, it’s no fun getting it stuck down the hole as you don’t have a reverse. I use a slip disk on the PTO to protect the tractor 🚜
