Using a tinySA Ultra to tune FM deviation
This video demonstrates how to very accurately tune the deviation of a FM modulator using an audio signal generator.
The method uses the the so called "Bessel null" where the carrier disappears if the FM deviation is 2.405 times the audio modulation frequency.
The video also demonstrates how to set the tinySA for a much faster sweep of a narrow span.

Thank you. Every one of these demo videos adds to the worth of my TinySA. Its versatility is impressive.
It has many years since I had to set up deviation on microwave link systems, thank you for the refresher on Bessel functions.

Yes many many years ago, I also used Bessel null to set microwave TX deviation.
I look forward to learning using the TSA4 ultra.
great info,,,keep up the good work,,thank you
Mooi kanaal kerel ! Tnx !
The SA6 is a scalar 35MHz-6GHz network analyzer where the tinySA Ultra is a true spectrum analyzer, you can not compare them
Thanks a lot for this very interesting video! Is this also possible withe the tinySA Basic? Greetings and 73 from Switzerland
Hello! Congratulations on democratizing access to the spectrum analyzer! I intend to embark the analyzer on a drone. Do you have the hardware version without the screen? Thanks!

No, but it is possible to slowly lift the lcd from the PCB and open the flat cable connector to remove the lcd
I get my tinysa ultra thank you Erik. Plz can you make video for how correctly look in 1w fm transmitter for harmonics. Thanks ❤
Erik - Is it possible to please send a demo unit for Dave of EEVblog who is in Australia?
Looking for substitute for the Sencore SG165 to do FM Stereo alignment on vintage receivers. Is there any thoughts about upgrading the TinySA Ultra to provide FM Stereo Signal outputs with the 19Khz pilot signal?

It is technically impossible to create a 19kHz pilot signal
Hello, using the TinySA Ultra, is there a way to observe the Strength of the L1 GPS Signal using an Active 30dB GPS antenna and an additional cascaded LNA ? Thankyou, Cheers, Konstantin

I bought TinySA and I am very satisfied. Is there an APP on Android to control TinySA? I want to put it on a drone!
Is this something we can possibly achieve with the former TinySa ?

Such a Helpful review demonstration of the FM process.... Amazing demonstration ot the TinySA capability & knowledge of RF modulation principles !!.....Plz keep videos like this coming !!
I just wish it had more SDR features, or a third SDR mode

Me too, but impossible
in the limitations is quoted that in ultra mode the measurement of wide band signals (above 600kHz wide) can fail. These wide signal may appear at wrong frequencies. Does it mean that last correctly detectable signal is GSM, as bandwidths of services above that are in MHz bandwidths?

It depends. Most mirrors will be at about 2GHz distance. I need to make a video to explain this in more detail

@@ErikKaashoek yes, the problem is that the guide says CONFIG-->DFU-->ENTER DFU and in the latest firmware there is no such path. The menue have changed. I have also wathched this veideo to see if you haev it in your firmware and it was not there either. So i am a bit lost
