When you pressurized the pot and streaming the paint do you have the fluid wide open on the gun? Or do you close the fluid knob on the gun (while pressurizing the pot)a little to add more material (from the gun)when spraying....if need be. I suppose some fine tune from the pot and leave the fluid knob wide open. I'm always curious to know other painter settings Thank you

Hi Erik, thank you for your question. It's always a good practice to have the needle on the gun wide open, full potential, then set your fluid stream. Depending on what you are painting, a 12-18 inch stream is a good starting point. If you need to cut back, you can dial the needle in a few turns. Keep in mind, if you continue to run with the fluid needle turned in, you will ruin the needle and nozzle of the gun.

@@DiamondVogelPaint thank you for that information. So do you think it's better practice to try and fine tune off the pot? That's why I try my best to do.

I like that breathing apparatus! looks like you're getting ready to fight a fire or something. But anyway, im not familiar with your line of coatings , they don't have it here in San Diego, where I live. Id love to sample some for kitchen cabinetry. Do you guys have a waterborne 2k? oh side bar on another topic. for metal coatings, do you have any "wrinkle" effect type coating? thanks in advance.

Hi. I am using a THICK epoxy already thinned to specs in a pressure pot like that one but I still can not get a good atomization. Is any solution to that? Thank you.

More pressure! If not may need to use a little bit more thinner. Been coating for 5 years and i like my epoxies and paint to be a little watery not to much obviously it wont dry properly or you’ll get runs but most of the time thick epoxies may just need a bit more thinner or more pressure. Hope this helps. I used binks pressure pots. P mix systems. Ultra max 2 graco and graco bulldog airless and bulldog with minimal thinner on epoxy shoots good. Just an expensive rig is all.

You need put or mix the suitable solvent in your epoxy through standard ratio.
