It's fun to watch a model interact with the photographer in an intelligent way - Kaydence listens carefully to the technical photography things Daniel says and approves of his messages at the right moment.

What I like so much here on this channel is when Daniel explains and takes pictures, everything always looks so easy and everything is straight to the point without any fanfare, ok, with increasing personal experience and practice it's that too, that's all no "rocket science". In many cases that I see when using a single flash light, an additional reflector makes the result rather boring in terms of illumination, but of course that's just my personal taste.

I have been using a light/flash meter since 1987, I had to buy a new one with bigger numbers a few years ago. I still use it more for tricky situations than every days shots.Sometimes the Guess-O- Meter works well too!. Thanks Daniel and Kaydence 😎👍🇨🇦

Great video Daniel, I generally point the meter towards the light. Great little tip that I’ve picked up using the meter in ambient mode to see what shutter speed you need to kill. Thank you

Thank You Sir, I have watched several of your Video's, You're a fantastic Teacher. You are down to earth straight forward, and present in such a manner Amateur's like me can undertand, and then go practice in our small Home Studio's. Photography is a Hobby I adore, and even at age 83 having lost most of My Mobility can still enjoy taking Photos of My awesome Family, and many friends. Thank You, and Your Beautiful Model for all of Your time & work. And especially to You for imparting Your Knowledge, Talents, Skills.

Also for product shooting I meter the the light from the flash and from camera position and use the average or middle reading of the two which works out well.

Great video! I’m about to take a leap and buy my first studio lighting setup. I’ve been leaning towards the Profoto A2, but I see you are using the b10 (now b10x). I’ve seen a lot of photographers using the b10x. Can you share your opinion on the pros of it? Thanks

I’m primarily a headshot photographer and want to upgrade from a DSLR to a Canon R6. I use off camera flash for all my sessions. How will the R6, or mirrorless in general, affect my process? I’m worried about changing from optical to EVF.
