I would love to see more canning/preserving videos, especially if your grandfather makes a cameo!
Soil blocks == mud pies for grownup and I'm all about it.
Thank you so much for your videos. I've planted flowers around my house for years but this is my first year starting them from seed. I'm also trying my hand at growing some veggies from seed as well. I don't have any one in my immediate circle who is into gardening like I am and it is so nice to have your videos as an encouraging resource.
You seriously need to submit some videos to SNL. I absolutely double over watching your videos🤣 Thank you for being such a bright light ✌🏽🌈🌼
I love using my soil blocks, uppotting is no longer a chore! I loved that pepper video, your grandfather is a delight.
I love the "Peter Piper Pickled..." video with your Grandfather and his casual knack of finding himself treats while he works. It's a harvest video.
I can’t wait for peppers to be pumping out fruits! I loooove picking them in the garden and making yummy pickled peps and sawces!!
I didn’t get the large soil blocker but maybe next year. This was helpful, specially seeing how you keep your mix. I’m always interested in the most practical and efficient way to do things.
OMG You are funny, girl!!😀 Soil blocks are cool👍Love your videos!
❤ Your new binge-watcher here. 😁 I have been put in charge of making cemetery arrangements for my family. Yes, I know, artificial flowers...eeeewww. I have done this for a few years now but I always struggled with what flowers were for spring or summer. Your videos have helped me so much and I want to say thank you. The cemetery arrangements are more beautiful this year than they have ever been and very full. They are cloth/silk bouquets but still very beautiful.. even if they don't smell good. Thank you again for all of your knowledge and uplifting videos.
Freezing veggies is so easy and quick. I put them into big resealable bags. (very handy to use big bags, goes fast and you can take out what you need)
I loved the video of your family pickling peppers 🌶
Just got my soil block makers for 3/4" and 2" just like yours. I'm so excited to try it out this weekend! It will save me so much time and $$$$!
Adorable, started soil blocking this year. You are such an inspiration!
Loved the canning video! Family is what it is all about and your Grandpa is great! He seems to be a truly joyful man, which gives us joy.
Watching this video inspired me to finally get a soil blocker and not a minute too soon since they’re scarce as hen’s teeth! It arrived Friday and yesterday I had fun making my first blocks and what a game changer for saving space!! Thanks for taking the time to make all the inspiring and informative videos that are fun and interesting 😄
I love seeing how you do everything. Thank you!
I have to say thank you for all your information and inspiration! I have to find my own way cause I live in zone 8b! I'm planting the things! Bell peppers seedlings looking healthy here as well ! Compost delivery today!! Woohoo first Sunflowers in the ground today!!!
Between the "moist" and the "craptastic" I.....AM.....DYING!!! Then the "Peter Piper"... Legit deceased!! Sooo funny.
Your grandpa is pretty adorable 🥰 you’re so lucky to have him ❤️😊 I liked that pepper video too. You we’re keeping count of how many he ate 😋
So interesting. Thanks.
I loved the video with your family canning. Reminded me of my childhood. Your gramps is a character!
I canned pepperoncinis last year for my knockoff Olive Garden salad. Delicious!

Great video. I love learning and watching videos about soil blocks. I have 2 plastic trays, and some newspaper pots now, but would like to become part of the soil block club next year. 😁 Happy gardening! Wishing you many blessings this week as you get one week closer to your last frost.
I always love your after video bloopers. You're hilarious! BTW did my first seeds in soil blocks yesterday.....Thanks to you and LIsa Mason Ziegler. I think I'm in love with this technique.
Wonderful video!! I didn’t realize you could fit them into larger soil blocks like this!!
As I look at my mountain of peppers I need to pot up you may have converted me to soil blocks. So. Much. Space. Saved. I am a few weeks behind you in Nova Scotia, will start my tomatoes this week.

OMG! I think everyone has the same butter knife!! LOVE it!
Great video as usual!
you are such a dork in the best way. just recently found you - so glad I did
I love peppers and hot peppers. We won’t be using fertiliser until they go to ground. Hard to explain but here is KZread video on it from chillichump - fertilising later will make it plant to produce bigger yields and less greenery.
@FlowerHillFarm

I fertilize everything on a weekly basis because there is not enough nutrients in the soil for the plants to feed. It’s not necessarily for bigger yields, it’s more like a “feeding” because they deplete the nutrients in their soil over the course of the time they are indoors.
@FlowerHillFarm

It’s also a very mild fertilizer 2-3-1 not like the crazy high numbers of the more common fertilizers. 💐🫑
Thanks 🙏 for your awesomeness 🥰
Great information, always entertaining, smudge of dirt on your cheek, family shout out (love them!) and of course the funny "outtakes" Always keeping it real. You are a gem!

You are so right, Nicole! The cost of food is quite literally out of control!! 😡 With a ton of fertilizer coming from Russia, I don’t see it getting any better any time soon 😩. Those blockers are so cool! Looks like it’s pretty easy, too! 😊
Your family vid is one of my favorites ♥️ I need to grow pepperocini peppers!!
Just started my pepper seeds here this week, hope they look as perfect as yours 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻
I've pickled pepperoncini. They don't end up as crunchy as store bought, even with the pickle crisp stuff. I don't mind though since I usually use the peppers to cook Mississippi pot roast. I'm growing more this year because there is never enough. That and Dilly Beans. Trying to expand my families palate and try new vegies. The more we eat from the garden, the less I have to spend at the store and this year, we're all going to need it. If there is more than we can eat or save, I always share.
Hey I'm potting up my peppers to!!! Like as I'm watchingw this video lol mine are banana peppers. I have a vole/mole and I ordered the Gopher hawk and the reviews were awesome!!
LOL ... you kill me
I love your content!
Thats our goal too with the peoperoncinis and to make cowboy candy with the jalapeños! I let my broccoli go last year and I want to do more canning and freezing with everything!
I’m excited for your peppers! Mine are just beginning to sprout. This year I’m starting seeds for me and also for my mom (she said she wanted a veggie garden full of plant starts ready to go for Mother’s Day and I said “will do”). I have four kinds of peppers. A rainbow bell pepper mix (from 99¢ seeds; we’ll see), a disease resistant pimento called Truhart NR, a basic sweet banana pepper, and an Anaheim chile. I’m hoping they do well. I’m especially interested in the rainbow mix peppers because the packet said shades of white, green, yellow, orange, red, chocolate, and purple. It will be fun to grow a few and see what colors I get!

Definitely want a video of your pickled pepperoni recipe when you get there!
how in the world have i lived my life without a soilblocker!!!!!!! good lord that it is amazing hahahaha.. thankyou again nicole ill have to remember to keep them "nice and moiissstt"😂🥴
So pinching peppers...I tried this last year. Every plant that I pinched did get more bushy, but they started producing about 3-4 weeks later than the same plants that I didn't pinch. It shocks them into more growth rather than fruiting. I didn't pinch my peppers at all this year; they produced so well. Definitely experiment but I've found pinching peppers slows them down as far as flowing and fruiting goes.
Genius 🌱💚🙂
The deer pinched my peppers last year 😢 the ones that were lightly grazed grew back bushier.
Hey Nicole, love your videos!! When do you work the ground for the first plantings of cold hardy flowers? (ex. sweet peas)
I watched it.. the pickling video
I'm a pepperoncini fanatic. We have a deli here, Amighetthis that loads them up on their sandwiches!
Was that the video where you counted how many peppers your Grandfather ate? I was weak laughing. Loved it!!

Nice
Cool video! I was watching other videos and they pinched their snap dragons and then took the tops put some rooting compound on the end and planted them in soil to grow more snapdragons. Can you do this to peppers?
Do you have a video on how to water the seed blocks? Now that I see how you are doing it, it looks pretty easy and space saving

I was planning on posting a specific videos on watering soil blocks as a FAST FACT video this weekend!
I literally saved a couple of pepperoncini seeds last night from our pizza box. We'll see if they germinate!
Would love to see a video of these big soil blocks being watered... Please..
You should get a Patreon page so you can get sponsers for all the work you do filming and teaching. I know you have Skillshare, but Patreon actually pays you through the viewers.
Can you tell me how to mix the soil and you use is it cheaper this way how long do you leave them under the light after they come up help please Judy
Where do you get plant tags?
Is your recipe for the 2" seedling blocks different than for the germinating 3/4"?
K, I have plans also to up “pot” my 3/4” soil block petunias into the 2” soil blocks, I just ordered like 40 cafeteria type trays from Amazon cause I didn’t think the 10/20 trays I have could handle the weight of the wet soil blocks! Are you using heavier duty 10/20 trays, like bootstrap? I have the cheaper ones, for now, but I was really worried about them not being ridged enough. Plus I planted like 600 wave petunias for my sake in May! 😆😳🤦🏻♀️😂
@FlowerHillFarm

They are not heavy duty- just regular. They do require both hands when moving around because of their flexibility
Have you ever tried Agro Thrive Fertilizer.?
I love the soil block idea, I plant all my stuff in six packs that I try to use over and over each year. I looked all through your links but I didn't see one for the 3/4 inch or the 2 inch blocks. You have probably answered this somewhere but do you need special soil to make the blocks with? Thank you, love you and your videos! Jill

@@FlowerHillFarm a big THANK YOU for the link to the soil blocks. I just ordered mine.
I had a question about up potting the soil blocks. I've seen a few videos where you pot up the mini blocks into plug trays or 4 packs. Is the reason you do that for ease of watering and transporting or the cost of compressing the potting mix and having to purchase more mix?
you dont need to pinch peppers for my growth, you just have to remove some lower leaves.
Nicole, do you use the same soil mix for the 2" as you do for the 3/4"?
@FlowerHillFarm

Yes, same stuff
Nicole, can you share the link to your timer?
Is the soil that you use the same recipe that Lisa sends when you buy her kits, I am not getting good germination

yes! Our Italian surname is Ciotti, but it's properly pronounced CHeee-aught-eee. We have Americanized it though so it's just SEE here.
