Yes we should appreciate his talent but we should also acknowledge that there are levels to talent and his vocal range is more than impressive. We have wannabe rappers singing with autotune and still couldn't hold a candle to his range even with tech support. The comparison is fair and just. My opinion.

Wow! much respect to Usher and the band. This session was off the chain. I seen the making of Glu with Lil Jon, Sean Garrett, and the Avilla Brothers. Vocally, and musically I think Usher is a freaking genius, perfect pitch. The band took it to another level, today's R&B can't touch this at all, Love it!!!

Growing up listening to Usher since his youth… this song truly surprised me. I hav NEVER heard him in this octave n pitch so flawless. He worked on this to perfection. It’s as if sonically Prince n Maxwell had a child being delivered by Usher. This song alone will put his legacy in the Stratosphere now with the great vocalists of our time.

They dress fresh for rehearsal. That's smooth. 🔥 What a great song Usher. We ready for that album.

Usher is a true musician. When a singer directs his band (“yeah…staccato”) AND he sounds good live. He is the truth. 🔥 🔥 🔥 Hopefully some HBCU bands will play this one in the fall.

I totally HATE the music industry, but I'm beyond happy and ecstatic to see Usher continuing to live out his dreams. Such a GREAT talent and a very BEAUTIFUL voice with immense versatility.

This band is absolutely gorgeous. Usher's voice is like a band too. I swear he can hear the sounds in his ear and his voice just recreates. His voice sounds like a beautiful electric guitar here. Even the choice of runs.

Didn't think we'd get a genuine official full performance of the song so soon, but I'm here for it. I love hearing how Usher performs certain songs live because a lot of times he makes these really cool and unique vocal choices that aren't on the records and it always sounds dope (just like he acknowledged at the end of this performance haha). If this is the rehearsal, I sure hope we get to see the final performance because this was top tier already. And I hope he keeps marketing this song if this is supposed to be the lead single for his album.

Lowkey I think they're testing waters with this song. Given a rehearsal vid and lyric vid have been published but no official video to speak of. Maybe I'm wrong, but if this is the direction we're going in musically, then I'm all in.

@@oDiiJei I know music videos sometimes come out weeks or months after a song is released. But I thought that Lori Harvey clip was teasing an actual video. Maybe that was just for promo. And this probably is just his way of testing the waters. I think he’s trying different ways to market himself and the music now.
