For a repellant I mix birch oil with moisturizing lotion, works for me.

Yes I live at 55 latitude N in birch colony neck I want to try it is to boiling the bark and neck to distill it like I do for essential oil but scare of the mess in my equipment …

Thanks mate The bark is always the last to rot but I gather whatever I can find to fill the tin I'm using hope that helps 👍

I would refrain from using fresh bark as this could damage the tree, but bark of decayed trunks etc will be fine from my own experience

Try some alternative gear if that's a concern
Uses: 1. Antiseptic 2. Perfume 3. Soap making 4. Insect repellent 5. Lamp oil 6. Leather and wood treatment 7. Lice, fleas, scabies treatment 8. Wound/burn treatment 9. Skin treatment
