    I think his teaching is very clear how he explains the different parts of sentences. He also speaks very clearly. Being English, I have no problem understanding how he pronounces English words.

    I won't complain about his pronunciation man, if anything he speaks English far better than any of us ever will speak Thai. This is not the place to be scrutinising such things, he's doing us a favour teaching English speakers Thai and doing it really well at that too!

    Actually, while many Thai words are written and supposedly more properly pronounced with the 'r' sound like krub, or in this case bpraeng, most (virtually all?) native Thai speakers would actually prefer replacing that 'r' sound with an 'l' or even omitting the sound altogether, particularly when it is in more casual settings. The 'r' sound is usually only pronounced in official situations eg like a newscaster I think. I'm still learning too, this is what I gathered just from my own observation and what I learnt from Thais

    Good lesson. I enjoyed it very much - very useful phrases. I've heard another verb used with "Make the bed"... gep ti nawn... is จัด and that verb used very much the same way?

  • @IgetThais

    @IgetThais

    จัดที่นอน (jàd têe nawn) and เก็บที่นอน (gèp têe nawn) are not exactly the same, but they both involve arranging or organizing the bedding. จัดที่นอน (jàd têe nawn) specifically refers to arranging the bedding on the bed, such as straightening the sheets, arranging the pillows, and tucking in the blankets. เก็บที่นอน (gèp têe nawn) can mean either to put away or store the bedding after it has been washed, or to fold the mattress, blanket, and pillows after using them. In the past, Thai homes had a common area for the bedroom, kitchen, and dining room, so they need to เก็บที่นอน (gèp têe nawn) it was necessary to tidy up and put away the bedding in its place after using it.

    สวัสดีค่ะ คุณ Jack! ฉันอยากถามบางอย่างนะค่ะ I have watched a lot of videos to learn about sentence structures, but never once that I have seen the question mark in Thai question form. I really wanna know if it is the form that we have to strictly follow?

  • @IgetThais

    @IgetThais

    Regarding question marks in Thai, they are not used in the same way as in English. In written Thai, you might see questions with a question word like "ไหม" (mai) at the end, which indicates a yes-or-no question instead of using a question mark.
