Its finally time to make the jump to Beadlock wheels on the LJ! In this video we install a new set of Raceline Ryno Rt beadlocks and a set of 37" Nitto Trail Grapplers! These tires are used from Bens run at KOH, while they are used they still have plenty of tread life left.
Since new wheels are going on, its a great time to install a set of the Apex Performance RPV tire deflation valves which make airing down a breeze! I have made a video on these before and they are a great choice. • The Ultimate Upgrade F...
And finally, i install a new transfercase shift cable from B&M. A cable shift linkage is a major improvement and really helps the TJ/LJ with shifting smoothly into 4wd compared to the factory linkage.

    Great video! Only one critique. Airing down doesn’t give you more traction. It only gives you more contact. Common misconception though!

    More contact, more rubber to provide traction is how I see it lol. Tend to get more traction when aired down.

    Ok guys,I've got a question. My wife and I bought our 3rd jeep last month, trading her '07 JK 2 door for a '21 JL 4 door. We just put coils from a JL 392 XR, giving us slightly over 2 inches of lift. My question is on the wheels. They came in today, 17 inch Enkei brand, bronze with a black simulated bead lock ring, they're got to look great with the Cooper 35's on the Sting Grey hard top. So anyway, the wheels have 2 valve stem holes. It says you can use 2 stems to monitor air pressure while inflating or deflating tires. We've never had wheels with 2 stems, will the same size valve stem fit both? Have you seen/had wheels like this before? Just trying to find the right information on this. Great channels, and thanks for the good information on both channels!!

    Awesome! Love the polished look on the red Jeep looks great! Question why do you guys stand/sit in front of the newly mounted beadlock when filling the tire up? Aren’t you guys afraid the bolts or rings will pop off? Great video tho🔥

    @JeepGearGadgets

    Thanks! Im really digging the look! There is only about 5-10 psi in the tire when seating the bead on these, so realistically there's no way it would pop the bolts off

    Thumbs up! Can you tell me more about the ballance beads? Do they work as well as a ballancer, or are you just using it because of the beadlocks? Meaning would you use the balance beads if you could take it in and get them balanced on a machine?

  • @JeepGearGadgets

    @JeepGearGadgets

    2 ай бұрын

    They will naturally find the spot that needs to be "balanced" when you are driving. Its an alternative to having a shop balance them with stick on weights. We use them on the JT with standard wheels opposed to having a shop balance them. I prefer the beads, they are less expensive and you dont have to worry about the weights falling off. 37s and bigger get a little harder to get a good balance on a machine.

    Not true. Show me a state law that says otherwise, dot approval does not apply unless you are driving a commercial vehicle.

    save your money for the tickets your gonna be getting on Oklahoma roads. Trust me I know from experience not trying to be a downer but they aren't DOT approved. You have to do your homework. I'm running the Icon Rebound Pros now and haven't gotten a ticket because they passed all the testing. Lotst more choices own the market these days that are lighter and legal than there use to be!

    DOT approval does not apply to non commercial vehicles. I would love to see a law stating that they are illegal. You can make your own wheels if you really wanted, DOT approval is only for MFG liability and commercial use.
