Used engine could go out anytime, reman. Engine gives you a 5 yr warranty normally
Because in 99 they made quality engines still and quality vehicles..,it was before the design blunder that exists in all chevys today where the exhaust manifold bolts are a hair too long preventing them from being properly torqued leading eventually to engine failure if the Chevy own uses e85 garbage as fuel and lets it heat those aluminum heads up too high and warping them…,leading to a leak into the back cylinder coil packs…most car owners won’t actually service their vehicles like they’re supposed to and will drive them with the misfire too long and then the cylinder burns out the rings and loses compression in the back cylinders…the Chevy express vans 2008 it’ll be cylinder 7…,

To go through all the labor to pull out put in and then have it fail in some way the customer is going to blame you regardless of what ever agreement you had. Learn to rebuild an engine yourself. I've did about 500 of them. You learn a thing or two. In the garage I've got a 454, 390, 351C, 351W, 350 all rebuilt.
A 4 seat get about that runs on gas and ain't parked in the grass is worth at least 4k.
Used engines have cut off connectors, broken ocvs and rusted, cracked oil pans. It’s a blast 👎
Can't *count how many times I've told my service manager, to order another engine/trans, because it was junk (knocking/slipping either in the service bay or on a test drive). after they insist on selling a used to save the cust money. pay me twice and have the cust wait twice as long. Shame. Don't waste time. Not to mention, all the gaskets and bolt on accessories are mandatory replacement for any kind junkyard warranties. Most often, in these situations, buy junkyard parts, u get junk.

Why u trying to get quotes on you tube? Deffinatly not the place to go. Don't know the history of ur engine, and certainly don't know the history of a used engine. Could be in worse condition. Never know. May not even need engine replacement, possibly rebuilding. Hemis are problematic in many ways, just as many other engines, over many manufacturers, over many years, are. Find a local diagnostic/repair facility (in real life, not the internet (this is the key highlighted moment of my comment)), and have it assessed and diagnosed, and if ur leary of their conclusion, get a second opinion.
