Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

Time to make another bike trader video as it is this time of year many look to getting a motorcycle. I was not expecting to find so many really cool bikes and the prices are not bad either!

I can speak for the LXR, got my euro 5 in June last year. The day it was delivered it had to go back due to an issue with the gears not working. Then when it was redelivered the gear linkage had to be adjusted due it hitting the foot peg and not going into gear. It broke down after a ride in the rain a few months after I had it. It seems a common problem with the euro 5 model that water gets into the engine, so much so that they sell aftermarket rain guards now. Had the back brake pedal do an awful screech and then stop working completely about 6 months into owning the bike. Then 4 months ago the coolant sensor failed and had to be replaced. a couple days after the sensor was replaced the radiator started leaking (possibly damaged by the dealer?) . It's a shame because its lovely to ride but the reliability has just been upsetting.

I’ve had a good experience with my LXR Euro 5 so far. I bought it second hand and haven’t really had any issues. Although to be fair I don’t take it out in the rain so that probably helps. Having the warranty transferred is also reassuring

Those Gen 3 YZFR125s (the white and fluro yellow) look awesome and are probably great in general but have a reputation of needing a top end rebuild at only 10k Miles. Still, if it's on low miles to start with takes a while to hit 10k I suppose.

Daelim are a Korean brand that manufacture in China, They're popular in India because they're cheap and fairly reliable. My current bike is a 2013 Daystar 125 cruiser, and the build quality is fairly good for early 2010's Chinese bikes

I set my heart on a Varadero after watching Harvey on Two Wheel Review channel (what's happened to him?) and took me 3½ years to find a good one at a decent price that wasn't hundreds of miles away. Absolutely stonking bikes and getting rarer all the time with prices going up and up. When I do my A it's staying alongside whatever other bike arrives, high chance that'll be a Himalayan. The Roadwin has quite a little following at our local bike meet, get a couple turning up and they're quick AF apparently.

the RS and Mito are around 25-30HP unrestricted but If you are on a CBT you have to restrict that down to 15. Very easy to do on them too, think it is just a carb blocking plate.

Ok cool, my other half is 5,4 so i know the struggle. Other bikes I know she was ok on were, the Honda CBF125 and the YBR 125cc. Honda Gromes are also an option but will be a little small to you. That is off the top of my head.

I wish to buy a 125 following my CBT last week, but I cannot see why you would spend so much on a used bike that will more than likely be a stop-gap vehicle until you get fully licenced. Is it worth looking at around £1000....or will that be more of a liability? As an old guy, I am not keen on sports bikes, though! I prefer the old-fashioned looking ones (not your cup of tea, I know).

  • @spicy110

the thing is the more you put in the more you get back. I rode a Honda xr125L for a few years and actually sold it for £300 more than I paid. I would probably go with a year old XSR125 as I don't like sports bikes or enduro bikes either. and they have the better parts and spec than a YBR125 etc.

@@chrishart8548 I am considering getting a bike from a friend....a Keeway Superlight. I had issues with the gear lever on the Honda during my CBT! I simply couldn't get my booted foot properly underneath it in order to change gear easily. It didn't help that the lever was bent in as a result of a previous topple. The Superlight seems to haveca larger gear lever altogether.

@@steveaga4683 most bikes have that issue and I have small feet. It's having motorbike boots on make it worse. Now you cant even get a half decent new Chinese 125 for less than £3k when they were half that a few years ago, it's made all used prices go up too. As an example people are asking the same sort of price for a mid 2010 Sinnis Apache that's mostly knackered to what they were when they were new. I'm always on the look out for cheap bikes of any engine size and 125's are the hardest to come by. Old bikes from the 80's and 90's were built up to a standard, rather than down to a cost of today.
