This technique is a game changer! I don’t have to rely on gold cardstock for gold embellishments anymore, and these are way more interesting with the variegated colors!

Aw thank you so much ☺️ yes! Great substitute for gold cardstock for embellishments and you get a much more faux metal look. The butterfly with all the small bits in real life looks like matte or sprayed metal and if you use large flakes it does look more polished and variegated! It definitely adds something unique and different to a card. Thank you for watching ☺️

I had not thought to use foiling flakes and embossing folders together. I will definitely be trying this out. And much as I liked the foiled butterflies, the partial foiling of the embossing with the words was the standout for me. Thanks for sharing your ideas. I look forward to seeing what you do next.

I love that technique, especially when you added the powders. I can imagine it also being very effective with silver gilding flakes and blue/violet powders. Can't wait to give it a go.

There's absolutely no end to uses with flakes, just get them out and play you will soon be experimenting yourself. I keep a separate tub of all the left over flakes as trying to get them back in the main tub can be 😅 I have small tubs (baby food pots) that I opened up flakes into and work from these at least if you breath of sneeze it's not a major issue 🙃 Double sided tape, tape pens and two way glue pens- zig, nuvo, sakura quickie are all good ways to add flake accents to stamps, prints ect too. Above all have fun x

We like to gab so much we arrived before the lunch-hour rush started and left when the supper rush was starting!!🤣 It will be a Saturday play now.

Adding the powders to the gilded script-embossed card was a stroke of genius. Really pulled the whole thing together!
