As an alternative for blackhole I’d recommend the armor break with the wind rune, it creates a ball of wind that gathers up the enemies before hitting you should test it out.

Black hole to gather, shadow step to def break, cross hairs to leap back out of the 5m range while doing dmg, then finish off with a fully charged snipe. The dream combo 😊 though having high crit is so necessary to make WW the beast it truly can be, especially at A5

I just use west wind few days ago and I noticed that it can melt 10 bars of HP to the bosses in dungeons.

I wish you had included PoD in this guide. That's where I'm having the most trouble with the weapon. It's hard to tell if I'm too close or not to the hands, AND alot of the time while charging he starts doing something that makes him immune. I assume it's random what he does so I dunno when to release early and when to charge fully to not get scammed out of the damage. if ONLY you could hold the weapon charge and shoot by releasing the button, then it wouldn't be a problem.

plum + west wind best combo. plum flower + amplifying Draw can both be applied on secret bullet. on last igris time challenge my secret bullet was taking igris down to 20% HP. i have plum a5 and can fast stack plum flowr but you can get at least 3 stacks in content that matter like. time challenge.

I'm still trying to get another West Wind to advance my other west wind.. I have an A1 West Wind.

The aiming while charging is not really great unless I do it wrong, since he doesn't real time move or adjust his position, he only flicks to a direction when releasing the shot and to 80% of the shots, I miss it when trying to adjust when the target did move during charging

I passed all the content with plum and scythe, only time I used king sword was when fighting jin woo for the last job class, and for getting trophies on lesser content

I wish the rng luck God's graced me more luck when it comes to the west wind. It took close to 1200 draws just to even get the west wind. Then, a few more draws after I was able to get it to a2 that was 10 days ago now.

I got all my sr's A5 but i don't have westwind, there's something wrong somewhere netmarble do something

The only thing stopping me to level up my a2 west wind is that they would nerf it in the update on 19th and my resources (specially limit break) would be wasted.

Day 1 player, light spender (like I buy the free swipes for 8€) and I go to bonus 10 when there is a good character/weapon. I have fully finished story and im very far in hard mode. So I pulled a shitton, have cha 3star with wepaon 3 star, same with alicia, choi 4 star, pulled on normal banner a lot to get up grimoire and plum. I have every weapon, most of them multiple times, with all SRs being either 5 or 4 star. I have exactly ZERO westwinds, 74 log-in days. Only weapon Im missing in the entire game and it's obviously the best weapon by lightyears.

Tbh a1 alicia is enough for now until her banner reruns + added to normal summons bc u need to save some stone and tickets for other useful hunters coming out....as a f2p I think we should just focus on a1 hunters to maximize our tickets for summon bc rng and 50 50 is no joke on premium banner 😂

A3 is good for story and a5 is for BoT specifically coz of the cooldown reset

If u have orb that's good bc orb is the #1 fire weapon....dunno if Vulcan took back 1st since it's buff but Vulcan is better now

I got west wind on the first 10 summon we get in the global launch of sla and i did almost 670 summons since then but not a single dupe for west wing its still at A0 sad life😂😢

My west wind skill never hits ans that bow skill as well neevr hits

Question for you because our interpretations differ and I think you may be misrepresenting something. You say the 8% wind damage increase only applies if the opponent is weak to wind and I'm not sure that's how it works. Based strictly on my understanding and experience with this game and almost every other rpg game, the elemental damage is applied regardless of weaknesses/immunities. Every skill has elemental damage applied to it, if the opponent is weak to that element then they take 150% of the damage, if they're resistant to it they take 50%, and if they have no resistance or weakness to it they take the base 100% of that elemental damage. So when the West Wind boosts wind damage by 8% it would still apply to Jin Woos wind elemental skills regardless of resistances. His wind attacks would do 8% more base damage. You could test it to by using an accessory that boosts wind damage + the West Wind and see if you get that % increase against neutral opponents, which I'm confident you would. Granted the boost will be far more noticeable against opponents weak to it and wouldn't do anything if you arent using wind skills, but to say it doesn't apply at all against neutral enemies, I think, is incorrect. I'm not trying to call you out obviously, just wanted to point out our different interpretations and get your take on it. Thanks for the awesome videos!

Unless u see green dmg (elemental dmg) the wind% does not apply. So u hit anything without the green then elemental dmg is not a factor so u won't see the increase in the dmg. The white dmg is based off atk and dmg etc. I've done a few runs with a0 to a1 and I didn't notice any increase in the bear dmg at a2 tbh. I could be wrong but I'm pretty surr

Regardless I'd like to see a bigger deep dive on this. One thing SLA hasn't done a great job of is providing detailed information on how different things work. The tutorial tab in game is almost useless and there aren't any real official guides breaking things down. But this is one topic that I feel pretty confident about that hasn't really been discussed. I think because most people assume that its common knowledge because that's how every other game does it and has almost always done it. Fire deals fire damage, water deals water damage, etc. But ask some of the experts in your community and get their take on it! I really think this is something you may be incorrect on! (No fault of your ofc since the game does nothing to tell you definitively one way or the other lol)

​@PayneBlade after some more gameplay I see what you're referring to with the damage color changing and it having that elements symbol next to the damage when they're weak to it. Idt that means other elements aren't taken into effect if the enemy isn't weak to it, but it has me being more unsure now. I'm still skeptical and feel the element should always be applied, any elemental skill uses that element to do damage regardless of the enemies modifications. But considering the white damage doesn't show any element next to it I can definitely see why you feel the way you do. I would still like a more in depth description of it though. Maybe I'll reach out to the devs and see if I can find anything out.

@Jalexsmith91 ya I've done extensive testing bro. These only apply on the enemies that are weak to the element. It's like Alicia's a4 water dmg increase. It doesn't work unless u fight water weak enemies. I have the data showing in my testing for you guys. It's always been that way. Same with the elemental blessing stone. It only does more dmg when fighting against an enemy with weaker element to your skills and weapons
