I felt so smug the other day when I walked out of the store without buying any more paper pads, even tho they were 50% off! I have so many--thanks for inspiring us to use them.

Yes Ann, you are not alone in this. We all have packs of paper that haven't been opened. Guess it is time to use them. Love the envelope idea. And the cards are very inventive. Love the idea of doing a few more paper scraps and pads videos. We all have stacks of scraps we could find ways to use.

SNAP!!! loads of unopened/unused paper pads here as well😀 Love this idea, especially decorating the envelopes as well. I often prepare different Sentiments, pop foam on the back. I love paper, just love it, when I really can’t make any more cards I just go through a pile of papers as if I’m reading a book, I am sure I am not the only one who does this. Just the feel of paper is enjoyable. 🤭🇬🇧

I know I'm late to the party but that's how I roll... How many of us saw this pink paper pack that she used and immediately thought, "So cute! Where can I get it?"? Never mind the fact that this is a video about using what we are already hoarding, never mind the fact that we have more paper than we will use in a dozen lifetimes.... I absolutely need THIS one! 😂

Thank you, Ann, for once again showing me a few tips and tricks and giving me encouragement to get making cards. I've put it off lately, but really... it makes me happy to make them so I need to just get to it. I'd love to see you do more with paper pads. You always have such good ideas and this is something that's important to a good deal of card makers. :) The way you kept it simple in this video was great. I tend to overwhelm myself with choices and then I don't do anything. Making one paper pad and one die the focus helped me to rethink the way I make cards a bit. When you were cutting the black backer for the one card, I thought it would look really pretty cut with an edge die. I have some of those from Spellbinders, so I'm going to give it a try. I think the black against the white cut with an edge die would be gorgeous and then keep the patterned paper edge plain. Just an idea... As for hoarding papers... I've only been making cards for about 2 years. I haven't had much time (or money) to buy as many paper pads as you have, but I still have things that haven't been used sitting here, staring at me, telling me they want to be used. LOL I really like the idea of decorating the envelope like that. I also like the idea of just making abstract types of backings... like the triangles on black. One of my problems is, I don't have many plain coloured card stocks. I have a few sheets, but not many and they are 12x12 size. Guess I need to get those cut down to usable size.

You're not alone in the craziness of paper hoarding! But I must say, The Paper Boutique Papers are my most used papers in my stash! I use them all the time in my albums! But I stopped buying 12X12 patterned papers because I just have way too many papers! I wish this year I will use them more! For me, if it's not on my table, I will never remember to use it. So I have them on a big pile on my desk and that helps a lot!

Ann, this was so very helpful!! I have a ton!!! And have not used it for a long time!! This will help me to get my stash down!!

Love these and love making boxes. I find that cutting both the top and bottom layers to the same measurement as you want the top then cut an 1/8th inch sliver from one side and one bottom before you do the scoring gives a pretty good fit.

Oh dear, I'm guilty too, and I have older ones I've partly used🤦. I have the pads you do!! I liked your box method...I take a sliver off one long and one short side of the base before scoring...it helps the lid fit! Great idea, I'm going to paper pad bust my stash!!!♥️

I think my reason for not using my large 12×12 per pads is ... they are just too big to keep handy so end up being stored. So I forget about them until I do go looking for for something I'm sure I have and ... poof ... there they are! Oh ... I forgot I even had this! I do however, also have a couple drawers full of the little tablets ... that I also forget about sometimes!! Lol ...

Such beautiful designs in those paper pads. I’ve 22 containers full of 12x12 pads, plus two shelves 3’dx6’w x 4’ h full of paper pads one shelf is plain color pads the other is different sized pads, 8x8, 6x6, and 4x6. Whew. Going to try to use your designer layouts.
