Thank You ... I am just at the first steps on CAD drawings and I am so excited about it ... I was working with Free version of Fusion 360 until it was NO MORE Free 😭so I am a familiarized with some common commands and being used to draw in that OLD fashion way - technical drawing in sketch on tracing paper, so what you show us here is "Gold: for me .... Thank You again and Please Don't Stop here and keep us on a loop with what ever you do ... Have a Great Day ...

Thank you. I was also using fusion 360. FreeCAD is a better alternative with similar capabilities for people like you and me and many more.

Absolutely Fantastic Idea. Lots of CAD draft files can be exported to an image and you can speedily reconstruct a 3d object without having to even measure the dimensions with a vernier from an existing object which could anyway be inaccurate depending on tolerances !

The ease in sketching makes it easy. And accuracy can be achieved by minimal dimensions.

Hello Sir. I can not reproduce the first 20 seconds of this video. I have the same version 0.21, start on the Part WorkBench, import a .png image. This works but FreeCAD makes a new document from this image, rather then to make a new object in the current 'Unnamed' document What am i doing wrong? Thanks for a reply. Jean

Try dragging and dropping the image file on the FreeCAD window. Drag-and-drop also works as I show in Practice-26 video of the beginner's test series.

@@kattkushol I have tried this also but freecad keeps creating a new document instead of adding the image to the treeview. Now i downloaded the real 0.21 version, where the image WorkBench is gone, and then importing the image works as in your video's. Thanks for the reply. Jean
