Happy weekend English learners, here’s a little tip 😎 In English we use the term “Pick up” In reference to other people all the time, here’s the reasons why - 1) Literally to pick up (lift up) another person. Example - The sand on the beach was too hot for my daughters feet so I picked her up and carried her. 2) To collect someone from a location in your car or on a motorbike. Example - Sorry, can’t talk now, I have to pick my wife up from work. Do you need picking up later? 3) In relation to dating - Example - my friend is always trying to pick up girls with corny chat up lines, it’s embarrassing! Hope it helps 😎

hi Alisha I can't find a match between what you mention and what I see here below about the meaning of RATHER : what happened in there brings up a topic rather esoteric and wild-namely, the subject of kundalini shakti. from eat, pray, love novel.
Can I add (though) at the end of the sentence when the sentence contains rather ?
I'm from Campina Grande-pb, Brazil.
Hi Alisha !!! I noticed that the word RATHER goes always after WOULD. Am I right? Is it always this way ? Great video!!! 👍👍👍
It is very good to make short video of 9 to 10 minutes.
You'll also hear cuz meaning cousin.
👍 👍
Hi could you tell me how to change adverb words into adverbial phrase ,is there any rule
Hi Eleesha, 1)there confusion between will and going to. 2) sometimes which referes to place like staduim or house and where also I can't identify the difference and when l can use which or where for places? Thank you 😙😘😘
@GrantCareerCoaching

"going to" can mean traveling to a certain place, but it can also mean "planning to do something" EX: He is going to the USA to study. (traveling) EX: I am going to watch movies after work today (planning to do something) For the second definition, it is very similar to "will", but you need to add a "be" verb when you use "going to", that's why I added "am" to the second sentence. I hope this helps! :) If you want more English practice, I share free lessons on my channel. Good luck with your English studies! :)
4:05 Does "rather" here mean "I mean". Could I ever replace the former and use the latter? Thanks in advance!
What is the meaning of hold in political terms
Ohh finally I could understand the usage of rather, what a great teacher thx 🤍
could you explain how to use how to use " rather than having to "
what is the difference between all kind and all sort and all types?
Super
😊👍
Hello I am Amro from Spain
Hi Alisha! One request. Colease do tell that thing what you've mentioned in thumbnail. I meant, this is second time when I watched your video and it was QnA video instead of Video on Rather. So, please make sure that whenever you make thumbnail, type what you have in video.
