I hope you kids understand just how lucky you have it these day. The size, quality of materials and colourway, I would have given up my pinky fingers for these as a 11-12 year old skater.

At 11-12 most people I know have always had adult skates. These are dope, but for like 4-7 year olds. I imagine this lad will only skate these for this promo, then go back to his other skates.

Always good to get more quality skates for the youth, but what is the function of a toe strap on a closed shell boot?

The Toe Cap is part of the adjustable sizing system. Although the mechanism “clicks” in place, the strap makes sure it’s securely locked.
