Finally got the video which i need. I thought my phone has some problem. I was also using chinese otg but when i purchased a better good quality otg it worked absolutely fine. Other videos are suggesting software solutions but believe me, THIS IS THE REAL SOLUTION. THANKS.

Thanks for this vid. It doesn't work with my samsung A50 which is the main reason why I order it..then i tried it with my boyfriends S8 and it did connect. .luckily his S8 have free original OTG. .will just exchance since the one i bought from online work with his phone 😂

thanks for the video I just tried a different brand flash drive in the Samsung supplied otg cable that came with my S 10 E and it turns out the PNY one will not work with the adapter but my Kingston flash drive does. At least now I know it’s not my phone.

Actually im afraid we cannot check the 24 connectors, due it is in the packaging (which is we not allowed to open it before we pay) or if we buy online.. the only thing that helps is we should opt to brand like SanDisk, and from official shop...

So the other day I noticed in my original box my phone came in had a USB-C adapter in it & I got excited thinking I could now move files to my phone from USB thumb drives whenever I want! So I decided to test it out & my phone wouldn't detect the USB drive. I updated my phone, restarted, etc. Still nothing. Looked inside the adapter & there's like 12 pins total. 5 on one side, 7 on the other. I was really shocked that Samsung would package a sub par adapter with their flagship phone. However, it is only an S10, so it's several years old. Maybe this was the norm back then. Idk.

My otg flashdrive works on other phone like Huawei but it doesn't work on every vivo phone, the thing that happened before that was i was transferring files from it which took long and my phone reached 4% and immediately cancelled my transferring of files ever sice then i had to restart my phone to make it work and then now I didn't use it for a day and when i tried to use it it doesn't work on any vivo but it works on Samsung and Huawei devices and i don't know what to do. There is a good quality brand: UGREEN on Aliexpress, they make good stuff, no crap. Search for UGREEN USB C OTG These are good 3.0 adapters, they have a very high transfer speed also. For example an external USB 3.0 Hard drive or a USB 3.0 Stick with more than 40 MB\sec. and want move large files than this is the adapter you need. There are also some other crazy brands there but i don't trust them. After all a quality OTG cost €1,50 to €2,50. There are two options at UGREEN and they cost 2,29 Euro (momentarily) and there is also another one 2,96. They are both USB 3.0, its just the fancy and smaller design plus key chain. You can choose Aliexpress Shipping for faster and safe delivery for 0,91 cent extra with track and trace. 0,91 says in my case to Holland, to your country may be different.

The problem is Chinese cheap OTG can only be used for External Keyboard and Mouse to control ur device. Buying the expansive OTG cable will fix ur problem.

Which cable do you mean ? If you mean the black OTG adapter, i bought it at the local store here. It's nothing special, i believe it was about 1,50 or 2 Euro. Its has no brand name on it. My intention with this video is just to show how a good OTG Adapter should look like and not to fall for the fake ones.

I have the original adaptor which came with my Samsung phone and still doesn't work. Will be ordering Samsung 256gb otg directly from Samsung as I am not technical and want to mess up my phone over £34 or so.
