Now, I can tune in much better! (Oh, I also took out that teeny LiPo battery, and added a 1000mAH battery (and box) to the little transmitter. I get hours, and hours, and hours of music now. One little device, all hacked up and "Tuned" into a mini radio station. :) Kudos!

I think you forgot a couple things: 1) You should cut the trace on the PCB otherwise the old antenna trace is in parallel to your new antenna. 2) You should also use the velocity factor of the antenna medium (enamelled copper wire). Since it's so low power now it's not made a huge difference, you might notice a even bigger gain if you cut the pcb trace though before soldering the wire on.

Wonder if I can do this to my blink module 2 to extend the Bluetooth range

Need ur help big time please anyone :)))) I have an Mac Mini 2014 that runs 4.0 bluetooth ,, Got 5 Bluetooth speaks { Amazon Alexis) when i connect the 5 Alexis as a multi group using on mac mini to listen to my music on iTunes the sound gets distorted , because they cant reach each other and that i got to much distribution im guessing :( ,,,,, basically what can i do or add to make my mac mini bluetooth give out more increased power to 5 bluetooth devices ... i need to cover 150-200 ft and some wall are thick :( ... any recommendations anything :))??? thank you soooo much for your time

He calculated what the length of the antena needed to be. I don't know how but I bet you could just do a quick google search and find out.

What's the maximum range we can increase?

How much did it extend the range and would a longer/thicker copper antenna help?

Also would adding more power to the frequency resonator like adding an extra battery for more amps help? And what frequency were your calculations for?

I was getting 1 meter before, now I get 5/6 meters Thickness is 0.8mm you can use less if needed

Resonator, might help, but first understand the circuit, it's tuned to 2.4Ghz already and if we add more Inductor or capacitor, may be we make a negative impact

Liked your presentation 👍.. However I was looking for a way to increase the distance of my Bluetooth speaker (connected to my phone), so that I can keep my phone at home and keep my speaker in the garden (20 meters range ?) So I was thinking about some sort of a transceiver.... Is it possible??

I'm looking at this video to increase my Beats speaker's range. I opened my speaker and I see the same antenna inside and now I will solder a cable to it to act as bigger antenna. Maybe you can try to open your speaker too to look for that antenna and solder a bigger one.

@@ystream563 I don't have the qualification and knowledge to understand if it did, but the speaker had some problems - the signal was easily interrupted and that's why I wanted to try to extend the range of it. The problem persisted, so maybe it was a problem with the Bluetooth module and I couldn't test it if the range was extended. So yeah, in short I really don't know if it worked.

you desoldered and changed the soldering point

so first you remove the back cover then you remove the USB sheathe and then you shake out the circuit board...and then, if you haven''t already, you throw the whole business in the trash and go out and buy a device with a high gain antenna attached.
