Low power (less than 1W) USB based automatic cradle designed for my cutie girl. A simple rotary to oscillatory conversion mechanism creates the cradle swing using a geared motor www.amazon.in/gp/product/B00M... . A low cost DC-DC converter www.amazon.in/gp/product/B01L... is used to match the motor rpm to the cradle oscillating frequency. Complete mechanical and electrical design, wood carving and fixing made at home. The cradle can be easily dismantled to make it portable. Approximate cost INR 3,000.

I connected 230V to 5V phone charger. A motor of lower gear ratio would work for 12V. The swing distance can be changed by adjusting the motor angle.

@@prakashbravo but again you need to convert 5V to 12V DC know using DC-DC converter. It is better to connect 12V charger directly it reduce converter cost know?

The motor is hitting a screw attached to something round that comes back to same position after oscillating. What is it called ?

It is a screw welded on a bearing. Mini bearings are mounted on the screw to allow the slip action when the motor pushes.
