I think the sliding screw comes up on the BEVEL side of the knive to keep the belt from torquing the knife down. The opposite sliding screw is positioned at the same height so when the knife is flipped it’s ready to go.

What is the angle tool you used to measure the angle? Not seen one of those before!

Do you dunk the jig in your water bucket? Seems cumbersome to have to remove the knife every couple of passes.

Hello, this is directly proportional to the way you work. Disassembling it once will be enough.

Mine will not hold the angle. It changes as I grind. Ruined a couple of knives.

That thing is crap. The angle changes while your grinding because it does not have a lock.
