But community colleges in USA more cheaper for international students rather than in Canada. Community college in USA could cost around 3000 dollars for both local and international students, but in Canada tuition around 3000 dollars only for local students while for the international around 10000 consider that things also and double check information from blogers

Agree. H-1B visa can be hard to obtain. There are 65,000 new H-1B visas each year. It is allocated using a lottery system with 30% success rate.

You can renew H-1B visa once (max 6 yrs total). During this period, you need to apply for Labor Certificate with Labor Department. This process is to show that you are not stealing jobs from locals and you are indeed needed in USA. You need to advertise you position (along with salary) in newspapers and trade magazines. If anyone applies, your employer (and your immigration lawyer) will need to explain why you are the one, and not the others.

In USA, there is a 10-year queue for employment based green cards (EB2 & EB3) for India. They are processing Indians who qualified for green cards in 2012 due to green card quota. While waiting for their green cards, if their dependent children reach 21 (considered adult), they have to either apply their own visa to stay in USA or return to India.

Just came across your channel ... I think you're doing a great job. Like your style, and your diction & articulation. Awesome - keep it up!! Couple of thoughts from my side - 1. Maybe some other factors could be important? For instance, for me - public transport is an important factor as I do not drive (& neither does my wife). And I know Toronto & Montreal have better public transport systems than most US cities... a number of other Canadian cities have decent public transit too. So, for me, almost for this factor alone, Canada is far more attractive than USA. 2. Amongst the factors you spoke about, I think costs are the most important - us Indians are in general a very price-sensitive lot. So on that count too, Canada wins :) Couple of questions: 1. Do you see too many applicants in their late 40s applying to PhD programs in N. America - either in US or Canada? I am in my late 40s, & will be applying for next yr... wondering how much age can be a barrier. 2. Do you reckon - and I know you're probably not a qualified immigration attorney, just seeking your general views - for Canada, visas for families are easier to get than for US, or is it similar/tougher? take care,

Sorry wrong information.Fees in Canadian University is in Canadian University.Plus they don't give any scholarships easily while in US u get lot of scholarships which reduces the fees to quite a lot extent.Am speaking bcoz applied to both the countries and got selected in both of them.plz do proper research

It depends on what you end goals is- whether its research or industry & also personal preference in terms of country but some good options to consider are USA, UK, Singapore, Australia. Good luck!

ILETS & TOEFL are common exams- but checking out the university website should give you requirements for each Ivy
