I believe you guys in a few of the Provinces also have a ground spinner that we have here in the States called a Ground Bloom Flower. If you light them and toss them onto a hard flat surface just right - with the flame of the fuse is just entering the case as it hits the surface you will get a much bigger M-80 type bang than those heard here!

Make some firecrackers yourself. Salvage fuses and flash powder from the firecracklers and refill then into a bigger case made of paper and weapped with lots of electrical tape. Make the fuse long and RUN! Obviously be safe when doing it and treat the powder with high respect.

I’m not from Canada. Too many liberals and laws. But I used to go there a lot. From what I understand, the native Americans are allowed to make and sell m-80s on their reservations. How you would go about finding the right natives is not something I would know though. And what the RCMP would do to you if they caught you with one is beyond me. They fine you a couple hundred bucks if they catch you fishing with the wrong kind of hook and give you life in prison if you get a DUI, so I’m thinking the wrong firecracker would probably get you the death sentence. When in Canada, you always need to remember that if you are doing something that’s a lot of fun, you are probably breaking the law.

Also it should just be illegal to set off fireworks outside of certain times. Voila problem solved. Anyone who does misuse them gets in trouble. @@aligamiles Yea. Driving 5mph everywhere would be safe in terms of accident fatality rate but in reality you'd put yourself in more danger and piss a looooot of people off. Going 5mph punished everyone who's behind you for other people's recklessness. Just an analogy. I think there is a too safe. Letting your kid never go outside and interact with kids has detrimental effects on their lives and stunts their social intelligence. The kid could've never done anything wrong but he got punished for other kid's stupid actions. The world is full of danger and a simple firecracker, used responsibly will not cause trouble. If you are irresponsible and light them off during non firework seasons near people is irresponsible but driving out somewhere or just waiting for firework season is responsible and will rarely cause issues. Responsible people still got punished for irresponsible people. You kinda see what I mean? I just don't like it. M-80s were banned in the US and whatever I'm fine with it since they were ridiculously powerful. The new ones with 50mg flash powder, when held at the base, nothing besides some stinging will happen. You won't loose fingers like that if a fuse is bad and just goes quick.
