The first 300 miles of my cross country solo road trip! The dogs and I set off January 2, 2024 to spend 10 days crossing the country to get to San Diego. We were camping every night in our Lance 1985 travel trailer. The plan for day one was to see Montgomery and Selma before arriving at the Corps of Engineers campground at Foscoe Creek Park in Demopolis, Alabama.
Unfortunately I thought I had locked myself out of the camper. While we waited for Randy to bring me his camper keys, the dogs and I played at the marvelous Keisel Park in Auburn, Alabama, then I drove back east to meet him for a pizza lunch in La Grange, Georgia.
I made it to Demopolis with no other mishaps though, and enjoyed a peaceful night and a relaxing morning the next day exploring this quiet corner of Alabama.
