The defender was afraid of the ball. You can actually see her move out of its path once she sees the shot coming.

@@mars91919 Noooooooo! (OK, let me rewatch) - ehhh...not so much. She's defending the wider angle on her left. The striker going for the narrow angle on the defender's right side is a pro move.
Was Horan 💪🏻 the only one out there in 1st half??? Where is the aggression, tenacity, desire, and passion? They need NEW blood!
