No problem! I was very impressed with that bass

I feel the Stingray just had some extra quality sound in the mid range. Maybe more sustain ? But not by much ! The SUB looks better too.

That’s a blue light 1200 Watt Walter Woods head with an Ear Candy 2x12 bass bomb cab. Since then I’ve given the cabinet to my son but I won’t part with the Walter Woods had ever. It was my main gigging head for 25 years. I am now using something else but I use it in my practice space.

I have a 2002 sterling Trying to research why mine don't sound like yours Can you tell me please the ohm readings between the 3 toggle positions Thanks

I cannot, sorry. I no longer have the bass and I don’t have the tools to take that measurement. I generally raise my pickups so they are very close to the strings though. Maybe that’s it?

@@timsarter5622 thanks no I have a basic ohm meter it's giving me readings that don't seem normal I'm getting about 27.9 k across 3 positions toggle, bass plays but don't seem right

​@charlieburns1385 something that's worth noting is that this is a SUB sterling. From what I've read, these have an alnico pickup instead of the typical ceramic sterling pickup. That might account for a fair bit of the sound difference. They're a lot more similar to a Stingray than a Sterling.

Today I found a music man sub in a pawn shop well care for $780
