that crazy arpeggio on keytar at the end is the shocker for some hearing this kind of band. I have been a fan of these guys for 7 or 8 years now so...no suprises here for me, but I really enjoy the reactions on these guys, and yours was fun!! Thanks!

In fact, this year is interesting for trying something new: There will be only televoters points counting in Semis 1 & 2, and there's a possibility for "the rest of the world" to vote, too. The juries from every nation will drop their points in the Grand Final.

I loved that you cracked a smile at the keytar solo. It's awesome! I think they've changed the rules this year so that people outside of Europe tuning in can vote too for their favourites. At least that's the impression from the official Eurovision website. First semi final is 9th May, second semi final is 11th May and the final is Saturday 13th May and it's 3pm EST if you're tuning in 😁

There once was a time when I would have loved that idea. Then your government started throwing people in jail for not being vaccinated… that pretty much ruined it for me.

enjoyed your reaction and glad you came on board of the Eurovision Song Contest ship with its annual "journey". Voyager... oh.. god, first time I heard them with this vid I was jumping up and down and first time I saw their semi final stage performance they again blew me away completely!!! They go back many years (1999) and I hope to see them on stage later this year when they are touring. They really deserved to finish higher than 9th.

Definitely! But a top 10 finish is pretty good for us from down under, given the politics of Eurovision.

@@dadegroot I understand 2023 the eurovision/ebu-Oz contract expires and is up for renewal/negotiations... I hope there will be renewal. as to "politics of Eurovision", that is an area that leaves so much room for thoughts, speculations, questions, doesn't it? During the Final voting phase -and afterwards- I heard from quite a few in my own country but also in UK that people wanting to vote for Oz just couldn't get through as line was engaged all the time! I found it odd to learn that SF Voyager qualified 1st place with 147 points from votes and F, only got a "mere 21".. Loreen-Tattoo I must admit has been marketed and hyped very professionally over a long period of time prior to ESC.. it's also very coincidentally convenient she won, since 2024 marks 50 years ago Abba winning for Sweden and now Sweden gets to host... just "odd".. nonetheless Voyager can be very proud of their song and performances (and the video), and Oz can be veryproud of Voyager!
