US vs Russia vs China: Who Has the Best Assault Rifle?

Ойын-сауық

The assault rifle emerged during World War II to meet the needs of combat soldiers on the modern battlefield. By the end of the 20th century, it had become the weapon of choice in most of the world’s armies, completely replacing full-powered rifles and sub-machine guns in most roles.
So, in this video, we're taking a closer look at three famous assault rifles currently in service with the world's most powerful armies - the US, Russia and China.

    The QBZ-95 was recognized as the best rifle in the world for urban anti-terrorist warfare, it exceeds in this fails but is not the best choice for standard warfare equipment. The new QBZ-191 is way better suited for modern combat in all environments

    The problem is that you didn't compare fail rates under stress. What is the point of using a rifle in a serious conflict if it can not with stand being fired continuously? Many NATO rifles are only peace keeping rifles and have self destructed within 48 hours of a heavy conflict. They overheat, blow apart, barrels melt.

    "self destructed within 48 hours of a heavy conflict". Umm, you must be referring to those small caliber assault rifles. They are all history in no time regardless of where in the world were they invented and/or made. One AR type rifle (using 5.56mm NATO rounds) was done for after some guy fired about 830 rounds with it in continuous, pauseless full-auto fire. An AK-102, a RUSSIAN rifle of 39x5.45mm caliber, only endured 680 rounds under similar extreme stress and it was history. (If I am not mistaken, both rifles can be fixed from that by replacing their barrels and probably receivers)

    I love my AR/M4 style rifles they are unmatched when it comes to customization and are more reliable than they get credit for. They do require more maintenance due to the DI gas system but you can always go with a piston driven AR which are much cleaner but I own an Arsenal SLR-104fr which is a semi automatic civilian version of the Ak-74m and it is hands down my favorite rifleit has almost no recoil and has that famous AK reliability and is more accurate than people think if you can get a quality scope mount you can make hits out to 5-600 yards with a magnified optic. The AR platform is definitely more accurate but for a combat rifle I would have to choose the AK-74 I have thousands of rounds through both platforms and have had only a handful of malfunctions and some of which were due to the ammo but you can feel that the AK is made for fighting there’s just something about it. I live in the US so unfortunately no Chinese rifles are allowed to be imported anymore so I’ve never gotten to handle any of their new rifles so I can’t speak on them

    The M4 is substandard. HK416 better. The Chinese are phasing out bullpups and have a new conventional carbine. Their service cartridge would be better upgraded to 6mm with 105 grain bullets. As it stands it's a .224 Valkyrie. The AK is the winner in this field hands down, but returning to 7.62x39 with 154 grain pills is the way to go. Not sure the whole AK 103, 105, AK12 is anything more than plastic fantastic cosmetics. Russian all plastic mags are a disappointment. Bakelite steel lined or Circle 10 steel lined are excellent. Now a Lancer type AK mag would be interesting. Hard to beat steel AK mags even though they're heavy. In all honesty, the AK really doesn't have any competition here. 300M at 2 - 3 MOA. That's all that's required. It has that with bomb proof reliability. The HK416 comes in second. The Chinese service carbine I'm sure is a great weapon, but an AR/AK hybrid with an unnecessary lower receiver engineered to mimic the M4 for a political statement? ....

    Talk of "modularity" of the AR platform is for children caught up in the luminous haze of plastic fantastic. The AK is plenty modular IN A PRACTICAL, NON THUMB OVER BORE METROSEXUAL 7M SHOOTER WAY. While the AR platform is not as reliable. In practical terms AK and AR platforms are equivalent in accuracy. But mainly the troops employing ARs... Dylan Mulvaney, Corporal Klinger jokes. The AR/M4 is the Bud Light of tactical carbines.

    The AK is poor with force multipliers like PEQs and white light rail options. It's 2023 and you can barely throw a surefire on them still. It's an old dated ripped off German design.

    @rmichaelzachary8574

    @ Nothing German about it, except maybe the magazine. The AK doesn't need to prove anything. It's been winning wars over 70 years. What is essential can be attached to an AK with ease. Nobody serious Christmas trees a weapon. It's 2023 and it took the West 20 -40 years to catch up with the AK and they still barely manage to field a reliable weapon. Thumb over bore metrosexual AR types even cry over an additional 5-6 ounces. But you really don't have anything to offer but cope, and nobody cares.

    Not really, you get about the same ballistics out of a 22 inch barrel with 5.8 x 42 as 5.56 does with a 20 inch barrel. It's not that big of a difference in reality.

    What is semi automatic???

  • @defencecentral

    @defencecentral

    7 ай бұрын

    A semi-automatic machine gun is a type of gun that automatically puts a new bullet into the firing chamber after shooting, getting ready for the next shot. However, the shooter needs to press the trigger each time they want to fire a bullet. It's kind of like the gun helps with reloading, but you still have to decide when to shoot. In contrast, a fully automatic machine gun can continuously fire bullets as long as the trigger is held down. Hope that helps :)
