You had about 30 seconds about the tires. Those tires have been on John Deere zero turn mowers for a couple of years.

Calm seas only & only secured beaches. Not great off the beach as it's not really armoured underneath [mines & the like] - best to dismount on the beach & walk - or use a chopper.

Seem to have more contact area/footprint than their pneumatic counterparts, but the open spaces make them more susceptible becoming clogged with mud, sticks or the like.

I agree that the airless tires are pretty much "genius". If I was in the department where and when they were thought up I would have said, "genius." But these drones are not "scary". These drones are ordinary, every day drones that can be operated by any service member who has been briefed on their operation. They can be handled safely without any threat to anyone. They can eliminate targets successfully exactly as they are controlled to do. That is not "scary". "Scary" would be if the drones were wildly malfunctioning malfunctioning or exploding uncontrollably. You mis-use the word "scary" in a way that seems demoralizing.

@@lynchetts I’m a retired U.S. Army Infantry NCO who served 23 years (1986-2010) and deployed to combat zones multiple times. The above fact known, that vehicle is no more a “sitting duck” than a fire team of infantry is. Furthermore, that vehicle can carry tons of shit grunts no longer have to carry, keeping the grunts in much better condition to fight. Lastly, if you knew anything about soldiering, you’d know that soldiers drop rucks and other non-essential fighting loads in an AA prior to engaging an enemy. This vehicle would only improve a unit’s capabilities.
