US Presidents When They Were Young & Their Previous Jobs

Most of us probably have a very vivid picture of how a US president looks. However, before men become the most powerful people in the free world, they are regular guys just like us. For example, Harry S. Truman was a timekeeper in the railway, while Andrew Johnson was a tailor.
To illustrate that one day they were just like us, LIST TV has collected a list of portraits of US presidents when they were young. You can barely recognize them, and if you think the presidency is an easy job - take a look at how presidents look before and during their terms in office.

    Actually, Grant did quit the military in 1854, but later rejoined the military in 1861. During that time he tried several jobs like farming and selling firewood.

    Despite his complete failure as president, Herbert Hoover was a very good Philanthropist before presidency. A very generous and kind man. It’s unfortunate people don’t remember that aspect of his life before.
