The CHG53 is an amazing aircraft, developed and refined over decades, like the B52. The oldies with a new knee or hip joint are sometimes the best.
David R Lentz, Columbus, Ohio, USA (Thursday, 27 June, 2024). UPDATED It is when one requires physical strength. My kid brother at age 16 was 190 cm at 100 kg (6'3", 215 lbs.). In his 20s, round 10 kg or 20 lbs heavier. When I was 15, I was just 155 cm, 43 kg (5'1", 94 lbs.!). I'm now a thin 181 cm, 51 kg. (5'11", 114 lbs.). I long have wanted to build Academy’s 1:48th-scale kit of the Sikorsky CH-53E Super Stallion U.S. Army/USMC heavy-lift transport helicopter undergoing in-flight refueling from the Italeri 1:48th-scale kit of the Lockheed C-130E/H Hercules USMC Transport. I now want to add to that list building a 1:48th-scale kit of the Sikorsky CH-53K King Stallion heavy-lift transport helicopter undergoing in-flight refueling from Italeri’s 1:48th-scale kit of the Lockheed Martin C-130J Hercules USMC Transport.
4:56 oh damn, refueling WITH the jet? That takes some skill, ive seen what happens when aerial refueling a stallion goes wrong, the video i saw the helicopter pitched up then down causing the boom to hit the rotors.

F35 does not appear to have its engine mounted?

Rolling the A-10 to 'avoid ground fire' makes no sense. The engines are positioned above the fuselage and wings to protect from ground fire so when they roll to the side they actually expose the engines to everything on one side of their flight path. OTOH, deviating from their flight path to avoid explosions caused by their guns, missiles and rockets would make sense.
USA is buff a.f
That's expensive test is something goes bad.
