US Marine Corps F/A-18 Hornets join Exercise Cope North | A Legacy Continued
Marine Fighter Attack Squadron 232 and Marine Wing Support Squadron 171 executed forward arming refueling point training as part of Cope North 24 at Northwest Field, Andersen Air Force Base, Guam, on Feb. 20, 2024. Within Marine Aircraft Group 12, U.S. Marines undertook expeditionary advanced base operations at Northwest Field during the same exercise. A select group of Marines from specific units practiced efficient refueling operations to enhance their proficiency in operating under remote and austere conditions. The multilateral exercise, Cope North 24, provided an opportunity for allies and partners to collaboratively train, enhancing shared tactics and multilateral defense capabilities.

Good to see a few squadrons using the tried and trued legacy hornets most are gone now using super hornets or the fugly f-35 , Back in my US Navy days i was stationed in the very first f-18 squadron on the east coast VFA-131 Wildcats at NAS Cecil Field fla in 1984-1988 , Was also the first carrier born hornets and the first to see combat over in Libya operation el-dorado canyon in 1986 . Airlants first and finest we also carried the battle E and S which is a high honor in the airwings , Thanks for the video it brought back many familiar sight and sounds !
