Now if only we in the u.s. could wake up and see how dangerous the u.s. is to the rest of the world. I know it sounds like a joke but, no. 35 TRILLION dollars and I we got were exploded munitions, aircraft carriers that would last 5 mins. in a battle (Yemen) and a desert full of aircraft that has rusted away. Who runs a dept. that no one can figure out how to audit, or doesn't want to. The more I write the more I see the end. Africans have always known, do you know what happens when an African leader stood up prior to now? assassination for the leader (Patrice Lumumba, Thomas Sankara) and destruction for the nation that can last decades supported by a coalition of western backing. @@vik914 I lived in Nigeria (Lagos) for a couple of years. Yes, it has a lot of problems, but having western military bases there isn't doing anything to help the situation (in fact, I'd say it compounds the social/governmental issues). Before the military coup government took power, Niger was "selling" uranium to France for 80 cents a kilo, while the market rate was approximately $200 a kilo. This is just one example of what happens when you invite "the west" into your country. It may take a decade or two to recover from such a cancer, but it can (and will) be done.

Losing Niger hurts France but I don't think it means much to the US beyond the fact that it hurts France and undermines the international system set up by the West. Please try to make the distinction between "the West" and the West's elites who hate Western peoples as much as they hate other peoples. The West's peoples are either indifferent to the West's role in Africa, or want the West out of Africa and Africans out of the West. The West's elites are not all "White" (Indo-European) either, many are Jews (Afroasiatic) or other non-Whites. If Whites were the only people-group in charge of the West and the West was a Democracy, Western intervention in Africa would have ended a very long time ago.

The French 5th Republic will not survive the loss of their neo-colonial empire Françafrique. It is not so much the fast African plunder that has kept the French manufacturing base going, though this will hurt. The main problem is that for many decades France has used Françafrique as collateral to secure cheap money on the world's capital markets. Without this African leverage Paris will soon run out of the means to support its bloated state bureaucracy. And make no mistake - that powerful French Bureaucracy has been the backbone of France since the Napoleonic era.

France will NEVER leave Africa willingly. They are plugged in too deep and would suffer terrible economic consequences domestically if they were to dislodge themselves from their African colonies. France does not have a fraction of the natural resources that they get from Africa. Timber, Metals, Petroleum, Athletes. Whoever wants them to leave, be it the colonies themselves or China or Russia, will have to make them leave.

And by blackmailling I mean they threatn private companies to block their bank transjaction, and not insure ship which doc the port of the santioned country, and this only mean everybody will use Russian & Chinese bank and logistic companies further pushing the world toward BRICKS.

But when they left in 2023, there was not even a single road, hospital, dam, school or even public toilet left behind as a legacy of the US occupation in Afghanistan..... 2 decades of death, mayhem and select plunder of occupied Afghani lives....
