I grew up in an area of Miami that is mostly made up of * middle-class Cuban Americans where just five years ago a house would cost 250-350k for the most part. Now the cheapest one goes for 600k. Forget working class being able to afford them. A professional lawyer, engineer, etc. would now struggle to buy a home in that same neighborhood. Something needs to change and it will change.

Good point.. the market has been crazy lately, a few surprises here and there.. with all the global happenings taking place I think it’s safe to say that a severe global recession is looming..

The fact that there is already an excessive amount of demand awaiting its absorption, despite how everyone is frightened and calling the crash, is another reason why it is less likely to occur that way. 2008 saw no one, at least not the broad public, making this forecast, as I'll explain below. The ownership rate was noted to have peaked in 2004 in the other comment. Having previously peaked in the second quarter of 2020, we are currently at the median level. Between 2008 and 2012, it dropped by 3%, and by the second quarter of 2020, it had dropped from 68 to 65.

You're not doing anything wrong; the problem is that you don't have the knowledge needed to succeed in a challenging market. Only highly qualified professionals who had to experience the 2008 financial crisis could hope to earn a high salary in these challenging conditions.

Recently, I've been considering the possibility of speaking with consultants. I need guidance because I'm an adult, but I'm not sure if their services would be all that helpful.

Realtor here... Good luck being safe in a "below state average salary" area. Usually varies due to location. But a house for 100k is either 1 off-market 2- An off-market scam 3- A scam 4-A dangerous area 5- Most likely listed "as is" 6- Someone's lying and they're clearly intending on screwing you in the worst way possible lol 7-Possibly an investor deal that they're still going to attempt to deceive you in. 8-Fallin the fuck apart but listed "as is" 🤣🤣🤣 9- Anything else that could possibly go wrong.
