US Backs Lithuania Over Kaliningrad Transit Ban, Putin Fumes l Is Russia Vs NATO War Imminent?

Lithuania’s transit ban of EU sanctioned Russian goods through its territory has sparked a new conflict between Russia and the West. Russia has called the ban a “blockade” and promised response to Lithuania’s “hostile actions”. The United States has firmly backed Lithuania and reasserted the commitment to defend “every inch” of NATO territory. Is Kaliningrad the next flashpoint between Russia and NATO? Is Russia vs NATO war imminent?

Zelensky wants NATO involvement, Putin threaten conflict with Baltic NATO states. At this point I’m pretty sure that if Zelensky wants ice coffee Putin will make himself then deliver to Ukraine on a plate.

Why waste precious human assets and material resources into a useless war when we can just wait, sit and enjoy the fireworks with our economies still growing instead of shrinking? Russia doesn't seem to value human life like we do, a NATO human life is worth way more than a million on average because of the investment in its education, standards of living and return on investment when fully grown and ready to work a single person can bring to the community. Even wasting 5k soldiers on this would be a waste of time and assets... Russia's economy is predicted to shrink by 12 to 15% according to Russia itself, 5% MORE of its population has been pushed to poverty in the first 3 months of the war. Take the human toll of the war + economical damage on the population and you quickly get 100k current deaths and millions of deaths long term by taking into account the people who won't even start to exist because of this war. This war is simply insane, Russian economists and its central bank are probably pulling out their hair right now as Putin just shot Russia in the foot long term. It's hilarious really, Russia was this close to greatness, you'd given Russia a decade or two and they would have many been able to compete with the UK or a major EU country, a century and they would have been part of the EU and been the strongest and wealthiest country in the EU... Truly hilarious how Putin managed to destroy Russia without even knowing it.

On behalf of the NATO member states, we are really hoping that Putin does something stupid to cause Article 5 to be triggered at this point. We are sick of watching the atrocities being committed and would love the excuse to join the war to stop them. As others have pointed out, Ukraine has shown the Russian military for what it is. Not a near peer adversary like China, but more like North Korea. A weak nation that relies on nuclear weapons to try to get their way. Note that the NATO nations haven't even really responded to Russia's nuclear saber rattling in kind. NATO is a nuclear armed alliance, and actually has about the same warheads that Russia does. Russia has the most warheads of any single nation, true. However, the US is in 2nd place about 500 warheads behind them. Then you have to add in the warhead count of the other nuclear armed NATO powers, England and France. With all the warheads added together, NATO is basically even or slightly ahead in terms of warhead count. The reason NATO isn't doing nuclear saber rattling in response is because NATO has the conventional weapons capability to destroy Russia without the use of nukes.

@@grandpatom190 It is a deliberate and unnecessary provocation by the EU, especially when they accuse Russia of using natural gas as a political weapon. Is that a lot of Western hypocrisy, they sanction Russia in an unprecedented way and don't expect Russia to retaliate? I had long since turned off the gas tap.

Says you! If Russia wanted to threaten the Baltics, it only need arm 'separatist' Russian minorities with weapons! A guerilla campaign by Russian minorities in the Baltics would destroy their economies and there's nothing they or NATO could do about it.

How is the USA involved in all this. What is The US doing and giving their opinion about Europe. Think about that. If Russia does the same in the continent of America , how would the US react? #Russia #USA #EEUU #EU #Europe #AmericaLatina #India #BRICS #OEA

Wait a minute. Why should Putin go to war with NATO? Lithuania cannot transport what is is illegal. The sanctions means that transporting these goods is illegal.

It will turn into a nuclear war and the west has much more to lose in this war because it is much larger. I think Putin should call the bluff and start to use nuclear weapons, I don't think the West is going to risk their lives and their pampered lifestyles to fight over nonsense such as Ukraine and Kaliningrad.
