True. Sad to always see him with a smoke as that is what, eventually like George Harrison, brought his demise wasn't it? I realize that it was part of the era and I am not at all judging him, but still tragic that he never reached the age that the others have.

I'm glad that I came across this clip! It's exactly the way I remember Roger when he picked me up hitchhiking in the spring of 74'! He was 30, and I was 20! I had no clue what a genius he was at the time! My what a difference ahalf century makes!!!

I wonder if today, Nick still eats pie with no crust 😅 Pink Floyd are my favourite band. They ruled the 70s. I don't care what anyone says... specially about that cover band.. with the balloon on their first record.

For me it was around November, 2022. I was lucky enough to get tickets to Rodger’s tour THE DAY BEFORE THE CONCERT. Beautiful experience

For me it was when i was around 14 years old (i’m almost 20 now). My father has always loved Pink Floyd, and in 2018 Roger Waters came to Uruguay to do a concert. Dad bought two tickets to go with my mom, but he got sick unfortunately :( I went to the concert instead. I have loved this songs and this band ever since ❤ (Roger will come back to Uruguay later this year, so my dad will go and see it live after all 😅😊)

@@facu_avm that's nice! I heard that for the South American tour, they're not doing the stage in the middle of the venue. I am really curious what the show will look like in that setting. I saw the show in Ziggo Dome (Amsterdam, NLD) this year, and it was amazing. Hope you'll enjoy the show!

1:30 Roger Waters' voice sounds so sweet and soothing, planning the chord progression, it's almost impossible to believe that's the voice of one of the angriest, saltiest frontmen in the history of rock'n roll. Kudos for Richard Wright and Dick Parry for those perfect piano and smoky saxophone baritone, it's the perfect soundtrack when I'm chilling with my Father in our car. 🥰

Pink Floyd’s songs were such grand composures really, the music is so thought out and developed, at the same time they just seem professional they don’t seem to be very friendly with each other they just seem like they’re working together with their talents.

It's been a while since I last watched Live at Pompeii when I was young and maybe or maybe not a little stoned. 😏 Was that not in the original release? I don't remember much of that. Time to watch the whole thing again! Rick wrote a masterpiece and of course Roger wrote phenomenal poetry to accompany it. Dave did a good job singing.

yeah, but it took over 30 years to die. Good Rock and metal music was still strong and present in the pop charts till about 2000. It really went to shit when r&b and dance music started taking over around then.
